Scene

A quiet, residential style hotel

The Tradewinds Apartment Hotel makes excellent use of outdoor space with open air hallways through pretty gardens accented with tables and chairs for lounging between buildings. The lobby is small and funky with orange accents and contemporary armchairs.

Location

Quiet and residential Pine Tree Drive in Miami Beach

The neighborhood is one of the quieter sections of Miami Beach without any nightclubs, shopping centers, or posh restaurants nearby. Miami Beach is accessible over a tiny bridge after a three block walk and the entire neighborhood is ideal for a leisurely walk or bike ride without much traffic.

Rooms

Large, apartment-style rooms with full kitchens and hotel amenities

Apartment style rooms have all the basics of a well-stocked apartment -- stainless steel refrigerators, a toaster, and clean white dishes -- but still have the perks of a hotel room with soft robes, Natora toiletries, and plush beds. Bleached hardwood floors and white paint give the rooms a bright and airy feel while flat-screen TVs are an added bonus. Views face the landscaped gardens or a small canal.

Features

Free bikes and outdoor swimming pool

At six feet deep, the swimming pool is pretty big, but it can still get crowded with families and children. Free bikes are offered, but there is no fitness center. There are no restaurant facilities on the property.
