Quality Inn Miami Airport is a motel-style property housed in a three-story yellow-hued building that's skirted by tall palm trees and flowering bushes. The lobby is a mix of warm earth tones like brown, tan, and forest green, with wooden furnishings and wall paneling as well as interesting decorative pieces like a large wall map and a fish tank. A small breakfast room adjoins the lobby and is furnished with a variety of tables and chairs as well as a long line of bar seating against the windows. Hallways maintain the earth-tone color scheme, with yellow and beige walls and brown and tan carpeting marked with fun floral designs. Guests are mostly families congregating at the pool and at breakfast in the morning.  

The hotel is located about a 20-minute drive from Miami International Airport, and a free shuttle is provided, though guests have made complaints about its infrequent schedule. The closest restaurant is a three-minute walk, though for a more diverse selection, guests must cross NW 36th Street to access an area with other dining options (a six-minute walk). Dolphin Mall is a thirteen-minute drive away, and the hotel offers a shuttle for a fee to take guests to this area. Popular attractions like Calle Ocho shopping center and Marlins Ballpark are about a 20-minute drive away, while downtown Miami is about a half-hour drive from here. Miami Beach and Virginia Key Beach can be reached in about 35 minutes by car.

The hotel's spacious rooms have cheery yellow-colored walls and bedspreads that pair well with wooden furnishings and red armchairs. Amenities include flat-screen TVs with HBO, coffee/tea facilities, microwaves, and mini-fridges. Mattresses were recently replaced with Serta-branded ones. Bathrooms are fairly standard, though tiny, with shower/tub combos and toilets, while sink areas are separate. Guests should note that there have been complaints about cleanliness and maintenance issues, as well as traffic noise in rooms that are close to the highway.

The best feature of the hotel is its outdoor pool, which is accessible for handicapped individuals. Lounge chairs, towels, a grill, and pool toys are also available. A free breakfast buffet is served daily, though some guests have complained about the quality. The motel has a 24-hour fitness center with four machines, a flat-screen TV, and towels. The Guest Market in the lobby sells snacks and drinks, and there's a coin-operated guest laundry room on-site. There’s also a business center with a computer and printer for guests, plus Wi-Fi is free throughout.
