The Hotel Croydon offers a competitively priced, upscale Miami Beach vacation in a location removed from the bustling nightlife in South Beach, but a block from the beach and boardwalk. The white stucco seven-floor building with Art Deco exteriors was built in 1937, and the current hotel opened in June 2014, under the SBG Hotels brand. Today the hotel is stylish with decor that includes leather tufted sofas and chairs, wood wall panels, a faux fireplace, and gold starburst lamps in the lobby. Fun fish decorations over the front desk provide a bit of Miami Beach flavor. There’s also a coffee bar with hot beverages and juice in the lobby. Overall the atmosphere is refined and laid-back.

The hotel is located on Collins Avenue between 38th and 39th streets in Mid-Beach. The location is a block away from the boardwalk and beach. The Miami Beach Ocean Watersports is in walking distance. The Miami Beach Convention Center is 10 minutes by car. It’s a 30-minute drive to the American Airlines Arena. The Miami International Airport is a 40-minute drive via the free hotel shuttle.
