Bottom Line
The 144-room Best Western Premier Miami International Airport Hotel is a modern, mid-range property about a 10-minute drive from the Miami International Airport. A free shuttle is offered to the airport and there is a nice outdoor pool and fitness center on-site. While the hotel is warm and welcoming, the immediate area is not, and Miami Beach is a 30-minute drive away. Contemporary rooms are spacious, clean, and include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and microwaves. There's a modern, casual restaurant on-site, but no free breakfast.

Best Western Premier Miami International Airport Hotel & Suites
Scene
Modern airport chain hotel
This Best Western Premier is clean and modern. The atmosphere exudes a simple efficiency, drawing primarily guests doing a few days’ business in the Miami area. The hotel also has a playful side, with a spiky, globular orange pendant lamp in the center of the lobby. The teal and chocolate brown color scheme that hotel employs throughout the common spaces and rooms also softens its appearance. Generally, the hotel has an air of swift professionalism and it remains fairly quiet throughout the day. The on-site restaurant is a convenient, relaxed place to enjoy a meal or drink at the bar.
Location
Near Miami International Airport
About a 10-minute drive from the airport (a free shuttle is provided), this Best Western Premier is ideal for guests looking to get in and out of town swiftly. While located at the intersection of two famous Miami streets -- Flager and Le Jeune -- the immediate area is unwelcoming, with only some offices and fast food restaurants. Downtown Coral Gables isn’t far (about a five-minute drive or 15-minute walk) and there you’ll find shopping and restaurants. Downtown Miami and the beach are a trek, though -- 20 to 30 minutes by car.
Rooms
Large and comfortable, with space for an easy chair and workspace
The rooms at the Best Western Premier are impressively large. Standard rooms include a king bed or two queens and have room for an easy chair and a desk or table. Design is simple and modern, with eggplant colored pillows and bed scarves. The oversized white headboard also contrasts nicely against the brown accent wall behind it. Rooms come with free Wi-Fi, 42-inch flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, coffeemakers, mini-fridges, and microwaves. Bathrooms are also fairly large, including a tub, thick towels, and Paya bath products.
Features
24-hour fitness center and business center, plus a pool and restaurant
Appealing to its work-oriented clients, the Best Western Premier has a 24-hour business center (a two computer and printer nook off of the restaurant) and over 700 square feet of meeting space that can be flexibly designed and comes equipped with audio visual gear. The fitness center, also open 24-hours, is not very large, but includes two ellipticals, a treadmill, a bike, a multifunctional weight machine as well as free weights. The outdoor pool, though plain and off the parking lot, is a nice additional feature. Sabores, the restaurant, also adds quality to the mid-range hotel, and allows for room service during mealtime hours.
