Bottom Line
The intimate Sea Rock Inn is an upscale bed & breakfast with resort touches, offering suites and cottages with panoramic ocean views and wood-burning fireplaces. Binoculars are provided for whale-watching from private decks or the large lawn, which slopes gently toward the edge of the rocky Pacific cliffs. The inn is not fancy, but is charming, with knotty pine furniture, ebullient flowerbeds, and whimsical paintings and sculptures. Cabin-like guest rooms have plush beds from which guests can see the ocean.

Romance and charm, with ocean views
The Sea Rock Inn sits on a cliff above the rugged Pacific coastline. Rooms and common areas have unobstructed views of Agate Cove and the ocean beyond. In the center of the complex of cottages and other buildings is a wide expanse of lawn that slopes gently toward the ocean. Clusters of Adirondack chairs dot the landscape, and guests can sit for hours with a glass of local wine or beer, looking for whales and listening to the waves crashing below. There are picturesque pathways, flowerbeds, and even picket fences, all adding to the folksy charm of the hotel. Knotty pine is the decorative touch of choice, used for the breakfast room tables, cabin-like front desk, and unique shelves laden with books, local crafts, and dishes. Simple, pretty, and romantic, the Sea Rock is a true coastal escape, with plenty of activities available within walking or driving distance -- but guests may find themselves sitting for hours, watching the waves.
