This Days Inn is as close as you can get to Graceland without actually staying there. It was the first hotel built after Elvis died in 1977, and while the decor is still stuck in that time period, it’s an affordable value for Elvis-obsessed tourists. The place is crammed full of Elvis photos and memorabilia, even in the Double and King Bed rooms. Guests who embrace the kitsch can relax in the guitar-shaped outdoor pool and enjoy The King’s music playing throughout the day and evening. Daily rates, which include a full breakfast, are half of what they are at the Heartbreak Hotel, which is located a bit north on the Graceland property itself. However, the property lacks a full restaurant and gym, and decor can feel dated.

As the name implies, this hotel is all Elvis, all the time. The otherwise unassuming facade is spiced up with guitars and music notes, while the retro-looking lobby has the feel of an Elvis fan’s living room, with amber-colored walls filled with photos and framed gold records. There are a couple of couches and a small breakfast room, but the real scene is outdoors. The spotless guitar-shaped pool sits in a courtyard by a colorful, eye-catching mural of a tropical beach and the Las Vegas welcome sign. It’s an older hotel, with decor stuck in the 1970s, but has nonetheless been kept up pretty well.

It’s less than a 15-minute drive to Beale Street and downtown Memphis, while getting to Memphis International Airport to the east requires less than a 10-minute drive.
