Being the only hotel physically connected to Manchester Airport, via an elevated walkway, is certainly convenient -- and the hotel's large, airy lobby is actually reminiscent of an airport check-in area. Rooms are smart and well-equipped, though at the mercy of the air-conditioning as windows don't open. An on-site health club with pool and gym is a bonus, but the prices at the hotel restaurant are a little inflated. There are a few other hotel options, such as the Hilton or Crowne Plaza, which are also four-star and tend to be slightly cheaper.
Scene
Spacious, bright, and contemporary hotel that feels like an extension of the airport
This Radisson Blu Hotel is the only hotel attached to Manchester Airport, and new arrivals have access via an elevated, covered 'Skylink' walkway direct from main airport building. The lobby area is a large, bright space with an understated, brown and gray color scheme and funky potted plants. Reminiscent of an airport, the lobby has a trio of 'check-in' desks and departures and arrivals board -- there is even a separate, swankier reception area for business-class guests. Interiors are sleek and contemporary, with open-concept spaces and aerial-themed photography decorating walls throughout. The hotel is popular with stop-over business travelers and well-heeled travelers with early flights.

Travelers seeking an airport escape can head about four miles north to Wythenshawe Park, or catch a game at the Manchester United Football Club, about 20 minutes away by car.
Rooms
Contemporary rooms have large flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi
The hotel's 360 rooms' style ranges from Maritime and Scandinavian to Italian and Oriental, though all are smart and modern in decor with large windows and simple contemporary furnishings. Expect chic, wood-paneled touches, grays with pops of bright color, and black-and-white photography on walls. In-room amenities include large, wall-mounted flat-screen TVs with pay movies, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and minibars. Bathrooms are pretty standard, with brown tile against white porcelain and granite countertops, handsome modern fixtures, and shower/tub combos.
Features
Bar with creative cocktails and health club with pool, sauna, and large gym
An extensive hot-and-cold breakfast buffet is served each morning in the fresh, contemporary surrounds of the Collage Restaurant, while a seasonal, a la carte menu is provided for lunch and dinner -- prices are a bit steep. Despite its slight airport vibe, the restaurant has cool design touches, like rounded woven lamps, half-circle booths, and bright orange chairs. The Little M Bar provides an airport lounge-style environment for light snacks and drinks, including creative cocktails using unusual ingredients like apple bitters and Earl Grey tea. An on-site health club gives guests access to a 12-meter pool, large gym, sauna, and steam room, and a beauty lounge offers various skin treatments and massages. A dedicated business center has fully-equipped meeting and event rooms, while on-site parking is also available for up to 220 cars.
