Outside a black chalkboard lists the dates and times of free tours in the area. Gorgeous outdoor stairways with metal rails and purple and pink flowers leads guests to terraces facing the ocean and grassy seaside hills. Romance is in the air in the evenings as guests drink free aperitifs on the wooden lounge chairs while taking in the sunset.

The rooms at La Torretta are beautiful and elegant, and were obviously decorated by someone with an eye for detail and a knack for interior design. The Junior Suite, with bedside lamps made of antlers and zebra- themed photos and pillows in the sitting area, is particularly inspiring. There’s also a small furnished terrace with flower boxes full of purple flowers and an elegant bathroom with double pedestal sinks. Some rooms have ocean views. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, Nespresso coffee machines, and free minibars stocked with soft drinks. Wi-Fi is available for a fee.
