The Vincci Malaga is an urban-feeling hotel in a resort location, just across the road from San Andres Beach, a popular spot with locals during the summer months. On the beach, there are numerous fish shacks where visitors can get a cheap, fresh-from-the-sea meal and a cerveza. Back at the hotel, the lobby and small bar are sunny, civilized places to enjoy a cocktail or hold a business meeting. This is probably not the best place for families traveling with kids, as there is no pool, fitness center, or game room. Business travelers may find themselves too far from the city center.

The Vincci Malaga is located in a quiet area outside the city proper, just across the street from the beach and a beautiful beach promenade. There are bars and restaurants on the seafront, and many beach shacks serving fresh fish on the beach itself. Next door to the hotel is an urban park with several small lakes, swans, and more. The center of Malaga is a 20 to 30-minute walk away. The high speed rail station is a 10-minute walk away.

Rooms at the Vincci Malaga are spotlessly clean, sleek, and bright. They have hardwood floors and are painted white with black, brown, and green touches. Some rooms have sea views, but the view is not unobstructed, as there are apartment buildings between the hotel and ocean. Beds are very large and extremely comfortable; a pillow menu is available and white linens have a fresh feel. Rooms have flat-screen TVs, minibars, and safes, but no irons. Junior suites have Nespresso machines.
