The ceiling of the lobby at the Aparthotel Duva & Spa is comprised entirely of skylights, which in addition to giving the space a very open feel, bathes it in cheerful, warm Mallorcan sun. Expect a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere, with excursions on offer and beautiful natural landscapes to explore. The hotel's gardens are nicely maintained, with attractive landscaping and a beautiful pond covered in magnificent lily pads. The bar area, with its dated peach chairs, is not a very stylish place to enjoy a tipple, though the dining area, with fresh flowers on the tables and sprawling sunny terrace, is a significant improvement. Expect to see many cyclists, especially between February and May, as this hotel is well-equipped to serve their specific needs.

The charming port town of Pollensa is a 15-minute walk away, with plenty of cafes, shops, and markets. The immediate vicinity of the hotel feels a bit more isolated, and is surrounded by mountains and nature trails which guests seem to take advantage of. It's generally a more relaxed area of the island, favored by families and retirees. Ambitious cyclists can easily bike to some of the island's most breathtaking sites from the hotel, including the legendary Cap de Formentor.

Functional and comfortable apartments, but very few frills
Room decor at the Aparthotel Duva & Spa is disappointing when compared to the more stylish public area. Furniture and curtains are plain, though large glossy photo prints of cyclists and surrounding nature on the walls cheer things up. The granite countertops in the kitchen are a nice touch, but the bargain basement plastic toaster and kettle should be of better quality. The shower/tub combo is spacious and clean, and the bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer and basic amenities. Overall, the highlight of the Standard Apartment is the terrace, which is large enough for a table and chairs. Its transparent and chrome trimmed railing provides an unobstructed view of the pool.
