Aparthotel & Hotel Isla de Cabrera is a family-friendly resort with a palm tree-lined entrance, large open spaces, and beautiful gardens. The lobby is bright and airy thanks to a central glass atrium. Decor is kept simple throughout the hotel, limited to scattered potted plants, some dated furniture, beach- and sea-theme artwork, and tan wallpaper with an island motif. Bougainvillea-print wallpaper over the front desk adds a charming touch. The breakfast and dining areas look the most contemporary with streamlined furniture, a bold blue accent wall, and bright-orange bar. Two poolside bars are more casual. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with well-kept interiors and a particularly attentive staff. Due to the numerous features and activities suited to kids, the resort attracts mostly young families from Europe. 

The hotel has a nice location in the quiet area of Colonia Santa Jordi in the south of Majorca. The area is a former fishing village and there's a traditional fishing port a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The coastal strip near the hotel is a protected space with beautiful white beaches, and the closest beach is a three-minute walk away. It provides recreational activities such as scuba diving, sailing, and swimming, plus it also has a section with sun loungers and umbrellas for rent. Other nearby beaches include Beach Es Trenc, Playa Es Carbo, and Playa Es Dolc. There are many shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. Guests can catch the 502 bus from just outside the hotel, which takes about an hour to get to Palma. It's a 40-minute drive to Palma de Mallorca Airport.

The Aparthotel & Hotel Isla de Cabrera is split into two separate buildings, one building houses 72 guest rooms and the other holds 100 apartments. Both the hotel rooms and apartments feature simple, contemporary furniture and minimal decor, aside from beach- and sea-themed artwork on the walls. The design consists mainly of neutral tones, with attractive pops of purple or blue in the linens and upholstery. The rooms and apartments all include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, safes, free Wi-Fi, and private terraces or balconies overlooking the swimming pools. Spacious apartments feature a separate bedroom, living area, and kitchenette that includes a microwave, mini-fridge, electric burner, and sink. There's also a sleeper sofa in the living room for up to two kids. Note that two twin-size beds are often pushed together to make a larger bed. Bathrooms are outfitted with walk-in showers, bidets, hairdryers, and toiletries. 

Aparthotel & Hotel Isla de Cabrera is a typical family-friendly resort with loads of amenities and activities for kids, as well as a fair amount to keep adults happy. All rates include the buffet meals served for breakfast and dinner, including kids' options, with themed nights and a gala dinner once a week. Three bars are available -- one serves snacks while the other two are next to the swimming pools and offer a variety of drinks and cocktails. Note that the bars are cash-only. Of the three swimming pools available, two include a shallow kids' area and one has a hot tub, all with plenty of surrounding sun loungers and umbrellas. There's also a supervised kids' club, as well as a daily activities program. Evenings include entertainment for the whole family, with a mini-disco twice a week. 

The spa features a sauna, steam room, and hot tubs, as well as a few treatments (for an additional fee). Other features consist of a fitness center with cardio equipment, tennis court, table tennis, and billiards. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, though the signal can be patchy. There is no on-site parking.
