All have separate living rooms, kitchenettes, one or two bedrooms, and pullout sofas; they're large and particularly well-suited to families or groups of friends. The outdoor pool, indoor pool, and grilling area, are the main property features. The location is about a 15-minute walk from the beach and town center.
Scene
Lacking a community vibe, but offering space and utility
With its townhouses and suites, the Sea Rose lacks the community feel of some other hotels. For instance, the lobby is small and has almost no seating. The outdoor pool, with a beautiful brick patio equipped with umbrellas and lounge chairs, is the most welcoming communal space -- though the pool itself is not very large. The L-shaped indoor pool is even smaller and has an almost clinical feel. There is also brick patio off the main building, but being positioned near the parking lot, it’s less than scenic. There are a few grills near the parking lot for guests who want to barbecue, and the grounds are well-kept, though the facilities are split across two sides of the road.
Location
In a quiet middle ground between the ocean and town center
Surrounded by other hotels and residences, the Sea Rose Suites has a quiet, neighborhood feel. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Ogunquit beach or town center, and there’s a seasonal trolley stop next to the hotel if guests would prefer not to walk. Located between Ogunquit Village and the waterside Perkins Cove, the hotel makes it easy for guests to quickly access restaurants and shops in either direction. The Sea Rose is also near Marginal Way, an oceanside footpath running south from the beach that offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Rooms
Simply but thoughtfully designed, with kitchenettes and clean bathrooms
The suites at the Sea Rose have a homey feel, with simple yet unique designs that give each property its own character. While the decor and furnishings are often a bit plain, the colorful walls and plush sofas make the spaces feel more lived-in than typical hotels. There is cable TV and free Wi-Fi in every suite. The kitchenettes are useful, if basic. Most suites do not have ovens or stoves, instead including a two-burner hot plate. In addition, there are full-size fridges, microwaves, toasters, coffeemakers, and tableware. The bathrooms are clean, bright, and fairly large, and come stocked with philosophy bath products. All units have separate living rooms and either one or two bedrooms. For those who want a lot of space, there are also full townhouses available.
Features
A neighborhood vibe, with communal pools and small fitness room
This suites-oriented property doesn't have a ton of communal space or property features. The medium-sized indoor and outdoor pools are the main event. Sea Rose Suites also has a small fitness room with a few cardio and weight machines. There’s also coin-operated laundry on premises.
