The vibe is friendly and hip, attractive to all sorts of travelers, though especially so given its location at the southern end of hyper-trendy Malasana. The style is impeccable, with just the right amount of twee details. Historic features such as ornate molding are mixed with modern elements, like quirky art and retro-inspired furniture, to create a cool vibe overall. Views of the city from several vantages throughout the hotel are exceptional, especially from the rooftop pool and terrace, which is a sometimes too-popular hangout spot. The restaurant and lounge also provide spectacular views of the city. With this hotel's prime location and beautiful interiors, it draws all sorts of tourists, as well as businesspeople.

This hotel has a prime location on the lively Gran Via next to the Plaza de Espana. The area is filled with restaurants, theaters, shops, nightlife, and major attractions, all within a one- to 10-minute walk. These include hipster-ready joints in trendy Malsana, the neighborhood directly east the hotel, as well as more touristy haunts along Gran Via. Major theaters are also nearby, and travelers can walk to Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor, and Puerta del Sol in less than 15 minutes. The Templo del Debod, a popular tourist sight with great views across the city to the west, is 10 minutes away on foot. Plaza de Espana Metro station is right next door, with connections to Madrid-Barajas Airport. Plan on a 40-minute trip to the airport by public transportation, or 25 minutes by car.

There are no proper closets in any rooms. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Dramatic modern bathrooms are covered in black quartz and come with hairdryers, rainfall showers, and magnifying mirrors.
