Best Kid-Friendly Hotels in Los Cabos
Los Cabos is legendary for its adult-oriented entertainment (and the resorts that cater to it). After visiting nearly 75 hotels throughout the area, we found seven that offer fun for the whole family, be it kid-friendly pools with waterslides or kids’ clubs with toys and activities. Check out the top kid-friendly hotels in Los Cabos, Mexico.
One&Only Palmilla
San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico
The ultra-luxurious seaside resort has 160 rooms and villas with massive flat-screen TVs, entertainment systems, air-conditioning, and terraces -- many with ocean views. One&Only is right on one of the area's only swimmable beaches, but it also features two gorgeous pools, including the family-friendly Agua pool. The hotel's kids' club is packed with all manner of entertainment for kids, including games, a jungle gym, movies, and video games. It's supervised all day long and kids are often taken to the pool to splash around.
Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico
The Ziva brand is Hyatt's family-friendly line of resorts, and the all-inclusive Cabo outpost is certainly family-friendly, with its large kids' pool, plus clubs for kids and teens. The children's pool has waterslides and a jungle gym at the center of the shallow water. The kids' club -- packed with toys and games -- is directly adjacent, and the teen club has video games and table games like foosball. There's also a theater that puts on live shows with various themes in the evening.
Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico
This 273-unit family-oriented resort, as its name suggests, is a hacienda-style property containing 20 individual buildings resembling a Mexican Colonial village. Located outside the thick of Cabo's action, the complex -- part of a quieter golf resort development called Cabo del Sol -- offers spacious studios and apartments with beachy Mexican decor, flat-screen TVs, kitchens, and spacious bathrooms. Most guests tend to hit Costco for groceries, but there's a great store on site that sells fruit and vegetables, as well as clothing, beachwear, sunscreen, and bathroom essentials. This main pool area draws mostly adults, while the more kid-friendly pool on the other side of the resort has a mushroom fountain and a small waterslide (but no ocean views). Kids also can spend time in the kids' club with bright indoor space and a lawn with a shaded trampoline.
Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort and Spa
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico
All-inclusive Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa has the charm of a boutique hotel but the size and amenities of a luxury resort. All rooms are bright and airy suites with kitchenettes and flat-screen TVs. The Spanish-style resort has three pools, including a kiddy pool and a palm-tree-lined infinity pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the beach. Families tend to enjoy the large jungle-themed kids' club, while the lovely beach is a highlight for everyone
The Ridge at Playa Grande
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico
Though it’s billed as a stand-alone property, The Ridge Luxury Villas at Playa Grande is actually a wing of the much larger Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa. The Ridge has two rooftop pools of its own, including a kids' one with a waterslide. Features at the larger resort are also available to guests, and Cabo San Lucas' marina is five to 10 minutes away on foot. The 98 apartment-style rooms are large and classic, with kitchenettes, flat-screen TVs, and ocean-view balconies. While the collective list of amenities isn’t missing much, some guests may find the dated nature of some common areas less than appealing.
Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf & Spa
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico
Grand Fiesta Americana is away from the main party atmosphere of Cabo San Lucas; its peaceful location and appealing all-inclusive rates are big reasons why so many families (and couples) opt to stay here. Kids can keep entertained at the spacious and cheerful kids' club, packed with toys, art supplies, games, and computers, while parents enjoy the nearby golf courses and serene spa. The resort has several sparkling pools for activities and relaxing (the ocean here is often pretty rough and not suitable for swimming).
The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa
San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico
Located along the secluded corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, the Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa isn't close to much -- aside from the beautiful beach (with rough waves) and the airport. Rooms are large and sleek, and there are numerous gorgeous infinity pools with ocean views. Its kids' club, large rooms, and distance from the hopping downtown Cabo scene make it a good choice for families, though couples are also drawn to the resort for its seclusion, quiet, and stunning desert coastline setting.
