Bottom Line
Casa del Mar Golf Resort & Spa is a lovely luxury option along The Tourist Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. The boutique hotel is a tranquil alternative to the surrounding mega-resorts and has most of the same great amenities -- relaxing spa, multi-level swimming pool, three a la carte dining options, a modern fitness center, and 24-hour room service. All 50 guest rooms here are suites and come with flat-screen TVs, ocean views, and balconies. Though the white-sand beach is gorgeous, the ocean isn’t always safe for swimming. There's also isn't much in the way of entertainment or kids activities. Those looking to be closer to a more swimmable beach might consider Casa Dorado for similar amenities at around the same price.

Luxury hotel with a quiet vibe and serene gardens
Casa del Mar Golf Resort & Spa, formerly Zoetry Casa Del Mar Los Cabos, was rebuilt and rebranded after hurricane damage. The gated entrance is located on the busy road known as The Tourist Corridor, and like other luxury resorts nearby, Casa del Mar has a long, winding road that leads to the lobby. Guests are welcomed there with a glass of hibiscus tea and a chilled towel for freshening up. The open-floor lobby is anchored by a lovely, tranquil courtyard with wooden tables and vibrant throw pillows, and it's an inviting spot to sit with a book or to play board games. The well-maintained grounds, with fountains and vibrant, pink tropical flowers, also has common spaces to relax. Public areas rarely get crowded, as the property is spread out enough for the older couples who make up the majority of resort's clientele to get away from any busy scenes. Kids are welcome here, but there aren't any specific activities for them.
Location
Located along The Tourist Corridor, and right on the beach
Casa del Mar Golf Resort and Spa situated a five-minute drive from its entrance on the busy highway. The property overlooks the ocean, and the beach is a five-minute walk from most of the guest rooms. Rough currents mean the water isn't always safe for swimming; the best beach for taking a dip in Cabo is Playa El Medano, an 18-minute drive from the hotel. Vibrant downtown Cabo is within easy walking distance of Playa El Medano as well. Golfers will find courses along The Tourist Corridor, including Cabo Real Golf Club, El Dorado Golf and Beach Club, and Palmilla Golf Club.
For those seeking Mexico's Old World charm, the quaint, cobblestone streets of San Jose del Cabo are a 17-minute drive from Casa del Mar. The small town has a lively art scene and cute restaurants. The main airport, Los Cabos International Airport, and the smaller Cabo San Lucas International Airport are both a 28-minute drive from the hotel. Guests should note that there isn’t anything within easy walking distance of the hotel and cabs can get expensive, so renting a car can be the best to get around.
