A 10-minute walk to Waterloo Station
The H10 London Waterloo is four-pearl upscale hotel located just south of London's Waterloo Station, in one of the city's busiest areas. With 177 rooms with both street and city views, the hotel offers luxury accommodation in spaces that are refreshingly modern and purposeful. Rooms come with a few extras, and the hotel has a fantastic restaurant. H10's only downside is its area, which is devoid of any interesting shops, bars, and restaurants, and walking to Waterloo station takes at least 10 minutes. Comparable hotels in the area with lower rates include the Mercure London Bridge and the citizenM London Bankside.
Scene
Cool, asymmetric spaces with some flash
H10 Waterloo has been built with style and design, which finds its way into the smallest of details throughout the hotel. The lounge and reception area, for instance, is open-concept and splashed with whites, blacks, champagnes, yellows, and old English murals. Rooms are bright and carefully put together, with plenty of windows for light. Chic, modern furniture and modern art add sophistication to the spaces.
Location
Close to Waterloo and North Lambeth Stations, and within walking distance of the Tate and the London Eye
H10 is a lovely corner property that's just south of Waterloo Station, which is about a 10-minute walk away. Its immediate area is somewhat lacking in shops, restaurants, and bars. That said, the hotel is easy to find, and many of the upper-floor rooms have absolutely stunning views of the city skyline. H10 is also a 15-minute walk from the Tate Modern Gallery, the British Film Institute, and the London Eye.
Rooms
Great views, cool interior design, and a few extras
Rooms at H10 Waterloo are well designed, and many of the big windows have great views. Modern furniture and art adorns all room types; most have red or blue bed runners, headboards made of vintage black and white photos, and a wallpapered accent wall. Rooms are tech-friendly, with HDMI and USB inputs to use with the TV, and coffee/tea facilities with free instant coffee and tea (upper-level rooms have Nespresso machines). H10 also includes a wide selection of hotel-line toiletries, as well as free umbrellas for guests to use and keep, which for London is a small but important extra indeed.
Features
Fantastic dining and public spaces, as well as a few handy extras
The hotel includes a number of cool features worth mentioning. First, the Three O Two Restaurant, located on the first floor, is a smartly designed public space with a great wine and food selection, as well as super-chic modern furniture that pairs well with the open concept of the space. The hotel has four meeting rooms with projectors, a media hub, as well as refreshment tables for meetings and private events. H10 also has the Circus Bar and Lounge on the ground floor, which has ample seating, free computers, as well as a large selection of world newspapers. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout the hotel.
