Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort

This property has more of a typical resort look and atmosphere than many alternatives in Senggigi. Three-story buildings with clay-tile roofs surround a large lawn with palm trees and small gardens of tropical plants. Guests must pass through a security check and metal scanner when entering the property, which is uncommon in Lombok. Inside, the lobby is bustling with activity and decor feels less traditionally Indonesian than non-chain properties nearby. Polished wood floors, carved stone tables, soft brown sofas, and intricate chandeliers define the vast open lobby. Tropical-themed artwork and accents are used throughout the space as well. The lagoon-style pool is a popular common area with a friendly bar and cozy nooks for lying in the sun to relax. Most guests are couples or families, but conventions and business meetings also book the property often. 

This hotel is located on Senggigi Beach in downtown Senggigi, with lots of restaurants, bars, and shops located just a few minutes' walk down the road. The Sheraton offers a variety of water sports options through a private company for kids and adults such as kayaking and snorkeling. Nearby excursions from Lombok include the Gili Islands, popular for snorkeling and scuba diving, located about 20 to 30 minutes away by boat. Mount Rinjani, the second-highest volcano in Indonesia, is a three-and-a-half to four-hour drive away. Malimbu Cliff, offering beautiful views of the ocean, is a 16-minute drive up the coast. The Pusuk Monkey Forest is about 35 minutes away. Lombok International Airport is about one hour to 90 minutes away from the property.

There are numerous room categories here, including an incredibly swanky Beachfront Villa that has a private pool, two bedrooms, and a large living room with an entertainment system -- plus direct access to the beach out front. Suites are available as well, along with many traditional hotel-style rooms. Rooms are fairly simple but modern and convenient, with some offering quite spectacular beach views. Decor is mostly white with beige accents and woven rugs covering wood floors. Deluxe Rooms extend to balconies with cushioned wicker chairs. Standard amenities include large work desks, flat-screen LCD TVs, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and custom minibars. Bathrooms have narrow shower stalls and some vanities are starting to show a bit of wear and tear. Toiletries are provided. The hotel is far enough away from the road to not be noisy. Wi-Fi is only free for Sheraton members. 

A great feature here is the huge beach with soft sand and swimmable water. The lagoon-style pool is large and has interesting features like a bridge and a natural rockslide, plus a swim-up bar. A kiddy pool area is also available and kids have access to an outdoor playground and mini-golf. The spa is on the beach and many of the treatment facilities are open-air and overlook the ocean. A fitness center, tennis courts, and golf practice area are also available to guests at no charge. The Sheraton has two different restaurants serving buffet and a la carte international cuisine. The poolside Bawang Putih Restaurant serves lunch and dinner and hosts weekly traditional cultural shows. Kebun Anggrek serves dinner and a free buffet breakfast with a wide range of Western, Indonesian, and Asian dishes, and a fruit juicer available for guests to use. The Sunset Bar is on the shore and has a beachfront deck and upper floor for sunset views over cocktails and snacks. Several meeting venues include a ballroom with space for up to 300 people, and there's a business center. Wi-Fi is only free for Sheraton members.
