The upscale, romantic Jeeva Klui Resort is the only boutique beachfront property on Lombok’s west coast. Though the beach is often too rocky for swimming, the hotel’s outdoor restaurant, infinity pool, yoga deck and spa, plus several room balconies offer amazing ocean views. All 35 spacious rooms have four-poster beds, mini-fridges, and rainfall showerheads, and some suites come with private plunge pools. Rates include a substantial a la carte breakfast. While guests (mostly couples) are primarily here to relax, free bicycles and scuba equipment are available, and tours to the Gili Islands and Mount Rinjani can be arranged. There isn’t much within walking distance from the hotel’s isolated location. The Puri Mas Boutique Resort and Spa is closer to restaurants and central Senggigi.
Scene
Tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking scenery allow for total relaxation
Peace and quiet are a large part of the package at Jeeva Klui Resort. From the lemongrass ginger tea offered to guests on arrival and the natural wood furnishings in the lobby, to the gentle ocean breezes and the swaying palm trees throughout the grounds, there’s an instant calming effect in the atmosphere. While small by resort standards, the hotel does have a large garden and is the only beachfront property in the area. Ocean views throughout the property, whether from the restaurant, spa, or suite balconies, are incredible. The romantic ambience and postcard-worthy scenery makes Jeeva Klui popular with couples, particularly honeymooning newlyweds.
Location
Beautiful, but isolated, ocean-facing location
In a small village an eight-minute drive from the center of Senggigi, the resort’s ocean-facing location is quiet and isolated, with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. Guests tend to spend most of their time on the property itself. A 15-minute drive will reach the main dock for boats to the Gili Islands; there are no public transport options in the area. The hotel also arranges treks to Mount Rinjani. Lombok International Airport is a 90-minute drive away.
Rooms
Tasteful natural furnishings and beautiful pool, beach, or garden views
Rooms are tasteful and charming, with romantic touches. Doors slide all the way open to spacious furnished balconies which make the already large rooms and suites feel extra airy, as do flowing white window drapes. Natural materials like bamboo, jute, and teak wood, plus traditional batik print cushions and hand-carved four-poster beds, allow the furnishings to blend in well with the surroundings. The ocean is visible from the Oceanview Suites’ balconies, which look out onto the beautifully maintained gardens. Beachfront Rooms and Suites, with canopied beds, lead out to the water and sunset views are especially stunning. Pool Villas and Deluxe Pool Villas come with private stone-walled gardens, personal plunge pools, and their own sundeck lounges. All rooms feature king-size beds, flat-screen TVs, sound docks, mini-fridges, safes, and air-conditioning. Deluxe Pool Villas have additional full-size beds. Coffee-and-tea-making facilities aren’t provided. While Wi-Fi is free, the connection isn’t always great.Pebble-floored bathrooms with stone sinks are beautiful and come with indoor and outdoor rain showers along with handheld showerheads. Deluxe Pool Villas have stone tubs as well. Hotel brand toiletries are provided, but hairdryers and ironing equipment must be borrowed from the front desk.
