Scene
Romantic hotel surrounded by mountains; undergoing renovations until 2018
Just a few minutes from Lago di Garda and surrounded by mountains, the Park Hotel Imperial – Centro Tao attracts mostly couples on a romantic getaway. Since 1986, the hotel has been providing well-known spa vacations with its high-end Tao Center, a spa with packages and programs that involve a mix of Chinese and Western beauty and wellness treatments. As far as design, the hotel has well-trimmed outdoor lawns broken up by gorgeous trees, bushes, and flowers. Inside, the design is especially elegant in the lobby with glossy black floors and ceilings, a trendy floral-shaped light, and chic white furniture. Other public spaces and some of the rooms are a bit dated as the hotel started renovations in 2016. The hotel is working on redesigning the rooms, the Tao Spa Center, and the wellness areas, all of which will be completed by November of 2018. Though it’s open most of the year, the hotel shuts down for one month during the winter holiday season.

Rooms
Modern rooms with flat-screen TVs, kettles, balconies, and mini-fridges
Park Hotel Imperial – Centro Tao is currently undergoing renovations so some rooms have an updated chic design, while other rooms are dated. By 2018, all rooms will look like the updated rooms with laminate wood floors, white and cream color schemes, striped walls, trendy spotlights, and soft abstract art pieces. The dated rooms have Asian influences and orange and tan color schemes. All rooms feature flat-screen TVs, kettles, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, balconies or terraces, and mini-fridges stocked with free water. Views vary between a Mediterranean garden, the lake, or mountains. New bathrooms are done up in white and tan marble tile, vessel sinks, toiletries, hairdryers, bidets, and showers with waterfall showerheads.
