The VIP Executive Art’s is a so-so pick for a short stay if you’re on a budget. It is located in Campo das Nacoes, the former site of Expo '98 (the Libson World Exposition). While it is not central, this locale is convenient for those who need to be near the airport or who don’t mind taking the metro to get to the city center. Rooms are basic but pleasant, with wood floors, cream headboards, and coral bedding and curtains; most have flat-screen TVs, but some old tube TVs still linger. The hotel caters to business travelers, and has several meeting rooms that can host conferences (including a large auditorium-style option), as well as a tiny business center, but there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms, and wired Internet is slow. In short, it’s an adequate option, but it’s worth comparing prices at nearby hotels.

The VIP Executive Art’s is located in a new area in Lisbon, right on the former grounds of Expo ’98 (a World's Fair site). While it is quite out of the way of tourist attractions, it is very close to the airport, and there are stores, restaurants and a casino nearby. However, what makes the location attractive is its proximity to Gare do Oriente, a major transportation hub located down the street from the property. Oriente Station offers easy access to metro, bus, trains and cabs, which puts the city center within easy reach -- it takes about 25 minutes to get to the heart of the action in central Lisbon.- 10-minute drive to Lisbon Portela Airport, or 16 minutes via public transportation
