Pros
- Convenient location close to the airport
- Clean, small rooms with flat-screen TVs
- Business-friendly with meeting rooms and an auditorium
- Restaurant and bar with live music 6 days a week
- Discounted rate at nearby health club with pools, tennis, and gym
- Free airport shuttle (guests must make advance reservations)
Cons
- Twin rooms have two twin beds pushed together
- Fee for Wi-Fi
- Rooms on the small side, decor is dated
Bottom Line
The Altis Park Hotel is one of the more disappointing options in the Altis chain. Though the hotel is a good pick for business travelers -- it has 11 meeting rooms, a large auditorium, and is a short drive from the airport -- it has bland decor and is isolated from major attractions. Small rooms are dated with graphic carpets and plain bathrooms. Rooms do feature small flat-screen TVs, but Wi-Fi will cost extra. The hotel has a restaurant and bar with live music six days a week, and though the hotel does not have a fitness center, it does offer discounted rates at a health club nearby with tennis courts, two pools, and a gym. The sister property, Altis Hotel, has a more central location as well as on-site amenities such as a pool and fitness center.

In Olaias, a 15-minute drive to the heart of Lisbon
The Altis Park is located in a convenient spot for business travelers, a 10-minute drive from the airport. But for leisure travelers, or those hoping to spend a significant amount of time in the city center, the hotel feels a bit isolated. Though the drive often isn't very long, almost all attractions require a taxi or a ride on the metro.
Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is a beautiful, colorful city overlooking the Atlantic. Like Rome and San Francisco, Lisbon is a city built on seven hills; but it has an Athens-like vibe with white-washed, red-roofed buildings, a fishing community, and laid-back people. Though many buildings were destroyed in the Great Earthquake of 1755, Lisbon still has a rich history (including historic buildings and cobblestone streets).
Originally referred to as the "eighth wonder of the world," Lisbon was a major importer of exotic goods from Europe and Asia. But nowadays, Lisbon can be overlooked due to the popularity of the quaint, seaside beach towns nearby. But those who love the city can tell visitors the many things they miss when skipping over Lisbon; it is a city of iconic historic buildings (such as St. George's Castle), extensive museums, and fabulous shopping -- particularly for gold, silver, and antiques.

- 11-minute drive to Avenida de Liberdade, Lisbon's main artery lined by shops, or 22 minutes via public transportation
