With its sleek and spacious interiors and business-like vibe, this upper-middle-range property provides a typical Marriott experience. Decor is predictable and chainlike, though perfectly pleasant. The bustling lobby is filled with mainly business travelers, though couples and families stay here as well -- the outdoor pool in particular is a draw for those with kids, as is the nearby zoo. Glossy cream-colored floors are peppered with clusters of seating, while wall decor includes items like an artful collection of blue plates and a large black-and-white photo mural behind the front desk. The lobby melds into the Tapas & Tiles Bar, which has a modern gray-and-tan color scheme, contemporary seating, and a lovely outdoor terrace for alfresco dining with a pool view. By contrast, Citrus Bar & Restaurant could use a makeover, as furnishing shows some wear and the mixture of green leather chairs and wooden tables appears a bit ill-matched with the red booths. 

Situated in the city's financial district, Lisbon Marriott Hotel is best suited for business travelers and might not be ideal for tourists seeking to sightsee -- though the zoo is within walking distance (a 13-minute walk away). The hotel is also a good pick for those visiting the next-door hospital, Hospital de Santa Maria. The surrounding area has a handful of restaurants within walking distance. The property is also fairly close to the airport, which is about a 10-minute drive away. It’s a 15-to 20-minute drive to the city center, or about a half-hour via public transportation -- but the closest metro station is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

This hotel has a dizzying 577 rooms, most of which are well-maintained, though there have been some complaints of dated decor and maintenance issues. The spaces feature a slightly disjointed mixture of modern styling, elegant traditional furnishings, and patterned carpets, and while the overall look is contemporary, the rooms could benefit from a refresh soon. Amenities are decent and include flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, safes, bottled water (free in upper-level categories), balconies, and coffee- and tea-making facilities, but Wi-Fi incurs a fee and there are no minibars. Executive Rooms, Suites, and Presidential Suites get access to the Executive Lounge, where guests can enjoy free drinks and appetizers. Bathrooms are clean and sleek, equipped with bidets, shower/tub combos or separate showers and tubs, Acca Kappa toiletries, and hairdryers. 

This hotel is fairly well-equipped to service both corporate and leisure guests. It has 16 meeting spaces that can hold up to 600 people, plus a business center with a single desktop computer and printer. In-room Wi-Fi incurs a fee, but there is free Wi-Fi throughout the public areas and in the Executive Lounge, which is open to guests staying in Executive Rooms and Suites and offers free beverages and snacks. 

As far as leisure goes, there’s an outdoor pool with a large sundeck lined with loungers that’s surrounded by green lawns, comfy outdoor chairs, and children’s play toys. The hotel lacks a spa, but does offer a bright and airy fitness center with modern cardio equipment and free weights. 

On-site dining options include Citrus Bar & Restaurant, which serves Portuguese and international dishes, and the Tapas & Tiles Bar, which serves tapas and drinks in a relaxed setting. Room service is available, and multiple breakfast options are offered in the morning (for a fee), including a buffet, continental, and hot breakfast. Other on-site features include a clothing store, a jewelry store, and a convenience store. Pets are welcome for a fee, and there’s valet parking that incurs additional charges as well.
