Opened in 2011, the Westin Lima Hotel is one of the newest and (with 301 rooms) largest hotels in the city. It's located on the outskirts of San Isidro, and though its focus may be on business travelers (it's home to the largest meeting facility in Peru) its upscale, resort-like feel appeals to others as well. The hotel features a top-notch spa, a sleek indoor pool, a large fitness center, and multiple dining options, including a chic bar and a restaurant with a popular breakfast buffet. The rooms have a mod, masculine vibe, with furniture in shades of brown, sleek lines, and modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and iPod docks -- but some find the vibe taken a tad too far, as the dimly lit, sexy halls can be difficult to navigate.
Location
On the outskirts of San Isidro, near several shops and parks
The Westin is located in San Isidro, an upscale residential neighborhood next to Miraflores that also serves as a business area. Like Miraflores, it attracts tourists with its many bars, restaurants, and shops. On the outskirts of San Isidro, the hotel is not within walking distance of major attractions, but many sites are just a short drive away.- 27-minute drive to J Chavez International Airport
