This luxury property may be the stateliest hotel in Lima, with a wood-paneled lobby and a chic rooftop pool deck featuring amazing ocean and city views. Rooms are elegant, with royal blue upholstery, gold-toned accents, Italian sheets, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, and rain showerheads in the marble bathrooms. But they're not quite as luxurious as one might expect for the price, and could use an update. The hotel's Miraflores location is superb, near both the enormous Larcomar mall and the beach.
Location
On the coast in Miraflores, close to the largest mall in Lima
The Miraflores Park Hotel is located just off the coastline in the southern part of Miraflores. This affords the hotel some spectacular views and a calmer ambiance surrounding the grounds. Unfortunately, it also makes it less pedestrian-friendly in some ways. The Larcomar Entertainment Center, the largest mall in Lima, is only a block and a half away and offers restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Most visitors to Lima flock straight to Miraflores, which is widely known for its shopping areas, gardens, well-maintained parks, and beaches. It's one of Lima's more upscale areas, and is a cultural center with theaters, galleries, and cinemas. The area is home to many hotels, cafes, pubs, restaurants, and stores -- Calle de Las Pizzas ("Pizza Street") is lined with pubs and bars that are filled with teenagers and young adults (especially on the weekends). The beaches here are popular with surfers and sunbathers (especially during the hot summer months), and are a great alternative to walking around in unbearably warm weather. In general, the area is safe and is popular with Peruvians and international tourists alike.- 34-minute drive to J Chavez International Airport
