Located on a quiet residential street in Fiumicino, only a block away from the beach, BEST WESTERN Hotel Riviera occupies a three-story villa-style building with a pink facade. The public spaces are neat and tidy, and exceptionally well-maintained. A large inner courtyard offers tables and chairs where guests can relax, while the outdoor terrace is a pleasant place to enjoy a drink from the bar. The reception area is spacious with beige tiled floors and wood-paneled walls, but apart from the reception counter and a large leather Chesterfield, it's quite bare. The carpeted hallways are wallpapered in red and beige and decorated with a few colorful abstract paintings. The hotel is especially popular with couples and families vacationing together in the region. Many stay here for the proximity to the airport so they can catch an early morning flight or a cruise from the nearby port.

BEST WESTERN Hotel Riviera is located in the coastal town of Fiumicino, about a 10-minute drive to the Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. The beach is only a block away from the hotel, and there are seafood restaurants, pizzerias, and supermarkets located within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel's shuttle service can be booked for trips to the airport and local places of interest, like the Fiera di Roma exhibition center (20-minute drive), the excavations at Ostia Antica (12-minute drive), the 15th-century papal fortress Castello di Giulio II (12-minute drive), and the port at Civitavecchia (60-minute drive). The shuttle can also be used to reach Rome city center, which is a 45-minute drive away.

Guest rooms here are spotlessly clean and decorated in a simple and classic style, though it leans toward old fashioned. The floors are covered in light beige tiles, while wooden furnishings are paired with red curtains and patterned bedspreads that add a splash of color. The bathrooms are equally spotless, though a bit small, with elegant beige tiling, tiny shower stalls, and bidets, plus toiletries and hairdryers are provided.
