Dated room decor
For families with kids looking for a beach getaway with a lot of activity at a low price, El Trebol is a good fit. There's programming from the morning to the late-night hours, as well as lots of families, so a person in the market for a quiet vacation may want to look elsewhere. Rooms have twin beds pushed together, plus pull-out sofas in the living rooms, as well as kitchens with microwaves and stoves. The resort is located in a busy area near plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, though because El Trebol is an all-inclusive resort, it's easy for guests to stick around. Decor is dated and guests report the resort could be cleaned up in both public areas and rooms.
Scene
A good-time atmosphere with plenty of activity from morning until night
Though many come looking for a break, there's enough activity at the El Trebol to keep guests busy from the early morning till well into the night. The rooms and facilities are housed in a series of cream-colored stucco buildings with rust-colored trim, surrounded by cacti. The lobby is open and airy, with a small seating area against an unfinished stone wall. The atmosphere here is a fun one, whether that be at the kids' mini water park or the pool bar for the grownups. There are a mix of families and couples here, and a fair share of late-night partying goes on into the wee hours of the morning.
Location
On Lanzarote’s Costa Teguise, near Las Cucharas Beach
Located on Lanzarote’s Costa Teguise, the El Trebol Apartments are a 10-minute walk from Las Cucharas Beach. The property is in the center of Costa Teguise and is surrounded by many other hotels, shopping centers, and entertainment options. The Costa Teguise Golf Club is eight minutes away by car. It's a 15-minute drive to the city of Arrecife and a 20-minute drive to the Lanzarote Airport.
Rooms
Apartment-style lodging with kitchens and dated decor
All 218 rooms at El Trebol are one-bedroom apartments suited to both families -- particularly ones with younger children -- and couples looking for a little more space than the average hotel room. Rooms have twin beds pushed together and each has a living-room area with a double sofa bed. A kitchen area in each has a small table, microwave, coffeemaker, and electric stove with two burners. Rooms have small flat-screen TVs, but there's an extra fee for satellite cable. Decor is outdated and evokes the 1970s, with bold bright stripes on bed covers and blonde-wood furnishings. Bathrooms are small but modern enough, with cream marble countertops and stall showers.
Features
Children's activities, four pools, restaurants, and Wi-Fi (for a fee)
The large complex of buildings and public spaces that comprise the all-inclusive El Trebol apartments include a buffet restaurant, an English pub, parking, and laundry. Many of the activities are geared toward families, including a kids' club with programming most of the day, disco nights for children, and nightly entertainment for adults. There are four pools, including one with a pool bar and one with a kid-size water park. It can be difficult to get a lounge chair and there's no clear policy on saving chairs so they tend to get claimed early and "reserved" all day long. Wi-Fi is available for a fee; discounted daily and weekly rates are available.
