Scene
Central, modern hotel with family-friendly rooms, near downtown Kyoto
This modern hotel in the commercial district is an ideal base for travelers looking for a central hotel with handy transport links, close to the city. Arrangements of bright flowers and golden fans add color to the dark entranceway. Inside, the spacious lobby is decorated in a modern, neutral palette and has a seating area with armchairs and coffee tables. However, aside from a simple public onsen, there isn't much to keep guests at the hotel all day long. With a good selection of larger rooms, this hotel attracts families looking for spacious rooms near Kyoto’s main attractions, including Nishiki Market and Kiyomizu-dera temple. There is no on-site restaurant, so there's little opportunity to socialize with other guests, and most visitors spend their time outside the hotel exploring the local area.
