Serene spot with little action
The Sabai is small with almost no common spaces outside of a wooden reception area, occupying a quiet stretch of beach far from Koh Phangan's Full Moon Party scene. The lone restaurant here isn't a party spot either, just a simple place to eat, have a drink, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Most guests can be found sitting on beach chairs or laying in hammocks right by the water. Families will enjoy this safe spot -- the sea is shallow here and thus kids can enjoy -- and couples also like the chilled-out, uneventful location.

The resort sits right on one of the island's most quiet beaches. Keep in mind that the water is often too shallow for swimming and at high tide there really isn't any beach to speak of. Access to and from the property is excellent however, as the ferry pier in Tong Sala town is only a 10-minute drive down the road. The Sabai provides pickup services and can arrange taxi travel as well as tours around the island. The neighboring island of Koh Samui has the nearest airport.
