Pros
  • Located right on beach

  • All-day inclusive breakfast

  • Beautiful infinity-edge pool

  • Smart rooms with outdoor terraces

  • Small fitness center on-site

  • Close to Full Moon Party but far enough away for peace and quiet

  • Free Wi-Fi

Cons
  • Tiny guest rooms

  • Few rooms here, so almost always fully booked

  • Almost no facilities on premise

  • Rather pricey for the area

Bottom Line

Le Divine Comedie is a small boutique
resort well located between a ferry pier and the riotous Full Moon Party area
of Haad Rin. While guest rooms here are tiny, they do have simple, contemporary
designs with outdoor terraces. The resort doesn't offer much in the way of
facilities and features, but its infinity edge pool somewhat makes up for the
deficiencies, offering a place to relax right next to the beach. Best of all,
the hotel caters to its young party crowd by offering inclusive, all-day
breakfasts.

Scene

Popular hangout spot for couples

Le Divine Comedie is a place for couples,
not just due to its chic boutique lodgings but also because rooms are basically
sized for pairs. The spot gets plenty of young folks who are interested in checking
out the Full Moon Party, yet also want a decent place at which to crash and relax in
peace when they aren't partying. There isn't much here in terms of a
lobby or facilities, though there is a large, cozy alcove with beige and pastel
green seating flanked by reading materials. The reception area opens into the
property’s greenery, which also has some eclectic statuary.

Location

Right next to the beach, located between party central and the ferry pier

The hotel sits right on a quiet strip of
beach equidistant from both the local ferry pier and the Full Moon Party in Haad Rin, which occurs throughout the year.
It's an excellent location for those who want the best of both worlds, and the area of Tong
Sala is just a few minutes northwest by car. The resort is just off the main
road so it avoids major traffic and is bounded by the beach on the other side.

Rooms

Smart, tiny rooms with outdoor terraces

The guest
rooms here are ultra-modern and snazzy, featuring platform beds and polished
concrete floors surrounded by earth-tone walls. Rooms are also tiny, with
Standard units having only 18 square meters of space -- more suited to a
solo traveler than a couple. Junior Suites amp the size up a bit and can sleep
three, with smaller Superior and Deluxe rooms also available. Units also
feature outdoor terraces upstairs, which gives guests some breathing space.

Features

Infinity-edge pool on the beach and an infrared sauna in the gym

There
aren't too many features at Le Divine Comedie, but a welcome mainstay is the
infinity-edge swimming pool, located right by the beach and a focal point of
activity for the property. The atmospheric restaurant and bar can also be found
here, and there are plenty of loungers and chairs for maximum relaxation. The
resort also has a small fitness center with a few machines and an infrared
sauna. Guests can also partake of an inclusive, all-day breakfast which uses local ingredients and combines both Asian and Western influences. Free Wi-Fi is available as well.
