Pros
- A 21-slip marina and water-sports equipment available for rent
- All rooms have sitting areas (sofa beds), flat-screen TVs, and private balconies (although some overlook the parking area)
- 2 pools and 2 lighted tennis courts
- Treetops Bar & Grille offers Mediterranean cuisine and pretty bay views
- Bars with drinks and snacks in both the beach and pool areas
Cons
- Beach area is tiny and has some seaweed debris
- No spa (but there is a salon, and some in-room treatments are available)
- Some complaints of smoking in pool area and on balconies
- Fee for Wi-Fi
Bottom Line
Baker's Cay Resort Key Largo, Curio Collection by Hilton is a mid-range hotel on the southern part of Key Largo. Rooms have fresh, contemporary decor, separate sitting areas (complete with sofa beds), and balconies. The tiny, shaded beach isn't exceptional, but it's pretty good for the Keys, where the beaches are all manmade. If you prefer the pool, however, you'll be just fine: The pool area is modern and sunny, and a pool bar makes grabbing drinks and snacks easy.

Baker’s Cay Resort Key Largo, Curio Collection by Hilton
Location
Right off the Overseas Highway, on a very small beach
Baker's Cay Resort Key Largo, Curio Collection by Hilton is located on the southern side of Key Largo, right off the Overseas Highway, which connects all the Keys to mainland Florida. The hotel stands on a manmade beach, which has just a tiny strip of sand that is crowded with lounge chairs. There is also a 21-slip marina right on the property, but not much within walking distance of the hotel. Both the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center and Harry Harris County Park are just a short drive away.
Key Largo is the largest Key, and has attracted tourists for years due to its proximity to one of the country's only living coral reefs -- hence the chain restaurants and shopping malls that dot the road. Note that the beaches on Key Largo are manmade (the barrier reef prevents natural waves and sand); some of them are still nice enough, but the real draws here are the diving, snorkeling, boating, and other water activities.
- 56-minute drive to the Florida Keys Marathon Airport
- 1-hour and 20-minute drive to Miami International Airport
- 2-hour drive to the Key West International Airport
- 3-minute drive to the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center
- 8-minute drive to Harry Harris County Park, a man-made beach with boat ramps and calm water protected by a coral rock barrier
- 13-minute drive to the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park
- 16-minute drive to the Tradewinds Shopping Center
- 1-hour and 22-minute drive to Miami
- 2-hour drive to Key West
