Bottom Line

Hotel & Residence II Teatro is a mid-range property situated near the beach in Jesolo, and close to bars, shops, and restaurants. An indoor heated pool, an outdoor pool and hot tub, and reserved beach spots are all nice perks that add to its value, as does the diverse breakfast buffet. The 35 guest rooms are basic and some are slightly dated, but they’re clean and come equipped with kitchenettes, air-conditioning, and private terraces. Travelers might want to compare with the Hotel Gardenia, a good alternative with sleeker rooms and a children’s play area.

Scene

Contemporary hotel, opened in 2005, attracting mostly families

From the outside, Hotel & Residence II Teatro is a large industrial-like building with white balconies and light sea-green walls. The property opened in 2005 and was renovated in 2011, adding an indoor pool and seven new guest rooms. Inside, the lobby is modern with a rustic twist with white tiled floors, a gray modular couch, a wood-slatted ceiling, and a large sculptural tree trunk. There are few public spaces here beyond the breakfast room, a modern area with white floors, dark wooden tables, and views of the outdoor pool through a floor-to-ceiling glass wall. As for the outdoor pool, it's a humble green-tiled affair with a built-in whirlpool. Families are the main clientele here, drawn by the multiple pools, guest rooms with kitchenettes, and proximity to the beach.

Location

Short walk to the beach and restaurants, within driving distance of family-friendly attractions

The hotel is conveniently situated a four-minute walk from the beach, while the immediate surrounding area is filled with restaurants and bars. Most travelers visit Jesolo for its beach, though there are a few nearby family-friendly attractions as well, such as Aqualandia, which is a six-minute walk away, and the Lido di Jesolo Sea Life Aquarium, which takes seven minutes to reach by car. Tropicarium Park is a six-minute drive away, as is the Foresteria Golf Club. It’s a bit under an hour by bus and water taxi to reach Venice, while Marco Polo International Airport is around a 40-minute drive.

Rooms

Simple rooms with kitchenettes/kitchens, terraces, AC, and flat-screen TVs

Guest rooms are basic and feature a paired-down design, though some details are a bit dated. Tiled floors, white bedding, and generic wooden furniture are found throughout the units, with modern rooms being slightly sleeker and outfitted with newer dark wood furniture. Still, the rooms are in good condition and generally spacious enough for families. Room types include Studios, Suites, and Suites Deluxe, and all come equipped with furnished terraces or balconies, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, safes, and flat-screen TVs. Studios have kitchenettes in a cupboard with mini-fridges, kettles, three-burner stoves, dishwashers, sinks, cookware, eating utensils, and plates. Suites have spacious kitchens and microwaves as well. Bathrooms are clean and equipped with small showers, plus toiletries and hairdryers are provided.

Features

Indoor and outdoor pools, reserved spots on the beach, and freebies like Wi-Fi and parking

The resort's main attractions are its swimming pools, including an outdoor one with a hot tub that’s surrounded by loungers. There's also an indoor heated pool on the rooftop that offers sun loungers on an outdoor solarium. Next to the hotel’s indoor pool is a poorly equipped fitness room that consists of four cardio machines. Guests can also relax on the beach, where there are reserved spots with loungers, umbrellas, and chairs. A breakfast buffet (included in some rates) is offered daily and consists of hot and cold items like eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheeses, and fruit. The hotel offers half-board and full-board options with the next-door pizzeria, however, there’s no actual restaurant on-site. Other amenities include a laundry room (for a fee) and free perks like Wi-Fi, bike rentals, and outdoor parking. Covered garage parking is available for an additional fee, and pets are welcome for a fee, too.
