Food gets mixed reviews
Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres is an upscale all-inclusive resort located on Playa Mujeres, a 30-minute drive north of Cancun. An array of features makes this a great destination for couples and families alike, with three pools (including a kids’ one), 10 restaurants and 19 bars, and an impressive spa and wellness center. You’ll pay extra to use the hydrotherapy circuit without a treatment, though, and the food gets mixed reviews overall. The 670 suites at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres are chic and spacious, decked out with Nespresso machines, minibars, and 50-inch flat-screens, plus many have whirlpool tubs on their balconies. Three kids’ clubs cater to young ones of all ages, and there’s plenty of entertainment and activities from morning to night. Guests interested in the spa might want to compare rates with sister property TRS Coral Hotel, where perks like the hydrotherapy circuit are free.
Scene
Families and couples are both welcome at the stylish Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres
This all-inclusive resort is set on sprawling beachfront grounds that include a network of manmade canals. Modern architecture is surrounded by greenery, while the canals serve as arteries around the property, traversed by small boats that ferry guests around. Note that the large grounds mean that there’s a lot of walking to get from place to place – and though golf carts and boats are available, they do sometimes come with a wait.
Interiors are sleek, modern, and stylish across the board, including the dining venues and bars, each with their own vibe, but all inviting. The chic lobby bar, for example, pairs an eclectic selection of seating like mustard-hued mid-century modern chairs, wingbacks, and blue sofas with eye-catching light fixtures, while Restaurant Poseidon is muted and uncluttered, allowing the views from the wall-to-wall windows to take center stage.
You’ll spot a mix of travelers here, from families to couples and groups of friends. It has broad appeal, though we find that TRS Coral might be better for adults seeking absolute romance. Even so, the lower rates at the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres may make a stay here instead worth it for travelers who don’t mind kids being around.

Nightlife spots such as Coco Bongo and Senor Frog's are a 35-minute drive away, while the Cancun International Airport is 40 minutes away by taxi.
