Elegant hotel with a mix of business and leisure travelers
ITC Maratha, Mumbai combines both the colonial roots of Mumbai as well as more traditional Maharashtrian elements in its design and decor. Guests arrive on the palm tree-lined cobblestone driveway via a grand entranceway flanked by traditionally dressed guards. The lobby is a large open area with marble floors, large central Persian rug, pillars, traditional Maratha artwork, and two large copper horses on display. The outdoor swimming pool takes up most of the central courtyard, which also includes a couple of surrounding sun loungers, parasols, and shady trees. The seven dining facilities are the main highlight of the hotel, each encompassing individual and beautiful design and decor -- from the elegant Bombay High to the more casual Peshwa Pavilion and Asian-inspired Pan Asian.
