All 451 rooms and suites are spacious and contemporary, with floor-to-ceiling windows and huge marble bathrooms with posh rainfall showers. Facilities are designed with business guests in mind and include enormous convention facilities, a sleek spa, a 24-hour gym, and elegant dining. However, the hotel also caters to families, with babysitting available on request and a kids' pool. Activities like cooking classes, yoga, and Zumba are also available. While it's a great option overall for large events, the remote location might put off some travelers. Those wanting to be closer to the heart of Gurgaon may want to consider The Leela Ambience Gurgaon Hotel & Residences instead.
Scene
Sharp convention hotel with elegant style that's popular with business travelers and event guests
The Hyatt Regency Gurgaon is a huge convention hotel that has a lot more luxurious style than some of its competitors. Black, gray and off-white marble dominates throughout the modern, purpose-built hotel, and different shades of dark marble can be found in the hallways, elevator areas, and various seating nooks around the hotel, as well as in the grand lobby, which mixes dark marble geometric patterns with black and off-white patterned benches and plush purple velvet chairs. A similar use of dark marble continues in the restaurants -- The Kitchen District features long marble bars with wood and grey-upholstered high-backed stool chairs, though the space is made warmer with the use of brown wooden tables and tan chairs or cream-colored sofa seats. The hotel attracts business travelers with offices in the area as well as those attending weddings and conferences on site. Although the vibe is swish and adult, kid-friendly facilities such as a children's pool and optional babysitting make it a reasonable choice for families, too.
Location
In the southwestern part of Gurgaon, outside of the city's business and corporate hubs
The Hyatt Regency is located in the southwestern part of Gurgaon, a satellite city of neighboring Delhi and part of the National Capital Region (NCR). There's not a lot to see or do in Gurgaon proper, and most people stay here because they have work in the area. It's a corporate hub town and, as such, is a popular destination with domestic and international business travelers. There are also a number of shopping malls in the area selling major international brands. However, the hotel is in a less developed part of Gurgaon, right off the main highway that connects Delhi with the Rajasthani capital city of Jaipur. There's no metro within walking distance, so guests will need to rely on taxis to get around. It's a half-hour drive just to get to the main strip of malls on Gurgaon's MG Road, and well over an hour to reach Delhi by car, especially during rush hour. Indira Gandhi International Airport is about 40 minutes away by taxi, depending on traffic.
