In a quiet South Goan neighborhood right by the beach, Heritage Village Club Goa is a three-and-a-half-pearll vacation resort that attracts vacationers looking for a relaxing beach vacation. While the 97 well-maintained, air-conditioned rooms are pleasant enough, it's the facilities that really set this spot apart. There are tons of amenities, from a large pool with a kids' pool to an Ayurvedic spa, from water sports to karaoke nights. There are also four bars and restaurants. Loaner bikes are available for exploring the area -- a boon for those who like getting out and about, given that there's not much within walking distance except for the nearby beach. Travelers looking for something a bit snazzier in the area may want to splurge on the nearby Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa -- but rates are higher.
Scene
Purpose-built colonial-inspired resort hotel with green grounds, popular with United Kingdom tourists
Heritage Village Club Goa is a lovely resort hotel that's particularly popular with British package tourists looking for a fly-and-flop vacation. Indian families also stay here to take advantage of the hotel's kid-friendly amenities. The architecture of this property draws inspiration from Goan-Colonial architecture, with beautiful whitewashed facades crowned with red terra-cotta tile roofs. The lobby is similarly colonial, with Portuguese-style tiled floors, Art Deco-style stained glass windows, and simple wrought-iron chandeliers. The rest of the property is situated in a U shape around a courtyard pool, with lovely green fields in the background. The grounds are beautiful, with brick pathways and lots of greenery, plus a few white plaster statues that make for an atmospheric touch.
Location
Quiet location in a residential South Goan neighborhood; a three-minute walk from the beach
This hotel is located in the town of Cansaulim, in the northern stretches of South Goa and about a three-minute walk from Arossim Beach. The street it's located on is quiet and tucked away, without much of interest within walking distance (there are just a few residences in the surrounding area). The town of Cansaulim takes five minutes to reach by car or about 15 minutes on foot. It's only about a 25-minute drive to the airport in Vasco de Gama. Getting to the Goan capital city, Panaji, takes upwards of 40 minutes in the car.
Rooms
Air-conditioned rooms with high ceilings and furnished balconies

Standard amenities include air-conditioning, safes, and coffee- and tea-making facilities. Wi-Fi is available for a fee. Superior Rooms have tube-style TVs with cable, but all other categories upgrade to flat-screen TVs, along with extra amenities such as sofas that can accommodate children and slippers. Club Rooms and Suites add minibars. Bathrooms across categories have walk-in showers, hairdryers, and basic toiletries. Furnished balconies are a nice touch -- those in Club Rooms face out on the garden.
