Sirenis Seaview Country Club

Five tall blue pillars topped with flags mark the entrance to this sprawling upscale property. Its 476 rooms are spread out in several low structures built around a large pool deck with many rows of sun loungers overlooking the sea. The huge water park -- shared with neighboring sister property Sirenis Hotel Club Aura and located right by the entrance -- sets the mood for an uber-family-friendly stay. Decor is contemporary throughout, with a blue palette both in rooms and common spaces. The property is busy and can be a little loud due to the hundreds of kids running around and splashing in the pools at all times, but those who need a break can retreat to the adult-only bar with ocean views, or to the nearby beach. This resort draws mostly families -- couples or leisure travelers seeking a peaceful retreat will want to look elsewhere. 

This huge hotel is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Port d’es Torrent, a small beach town on the outskirts of hopping Sant Antoni de Portmany. The nearest beach is a small sandy cove a two-minute walk from the property, where guests can find a couple of restaurants and a diving center. Those looking to explore other beaches can either drive or take a bus, which stops right outside the hotel's main entrance. The ferry landing is also within walking distance. Sant Antoni is a 15-minute drive away, and Ibiza Town and the airport can be reached in about 25 minutes. Most guests choose to stay on-site and take advantage of the many kid-friendly amenities.

The hotel has 476 units, including studios and apartments. All are equipped with similar amenities, including a living area (separated by sliding doors in apartments) with one or two sofa beds; two flat-screen TVs; air-conditioning; furnished balconies; and fully stocked kitchenettes. Decor is contemporary, with a blue and white palette that makes spaces feel fresh and beachy. Blond-wood furniture and simple tan couches are a little generic, but large-scale colorful photos of sea scenes add some style. 

Deluxe category units are a tad more stylish, with a dark brown palette, refurbished kitchens with cooktops and stocked minibars, and sleek bathrooms with black and white tiles, jetted tubs, and double sinks. Bathrooms in standard units are clean but probably the least attractive area in the rooms, with dated blue tiles (we spotted some dirty grout) and old-fashioned fixtures. However, all have shower/tub combos with rain showerheads. The hotel also offers a number of swim-up units, which have a terrace with a few steps down to a pool shared with other similar apartments. Wi-Fi is free throughout.

When it comes to kid-friendly features, the Sirenis is second to none, with a huge water park full of slides, water features, and several pools for children of different ages; an adventures area with rock climbing and rope bridges; a playground; and family-friendly entertainment program chock-full of activities. Although geared towards those traveling with children, the hotel also offers amenities for adult guests, including a large free-form pool with ocean views, and an adult-only bar where grown-ups can go to escape the noise and enjoy a drink in peace. Additionally, there are three other drinking spots, including a snack hut, a sports bar, and a seasonal poolside bar. The buffet restaurant is a little chaotic and always busy, but the all-inclusive meal plan also includes two meals per week at any of the other three restaurants: an American diner, an Italian restaurant, and a steakhouse. Those looking to work out have two options: a small gym with floor-to-ceiling windows and up-to-date machines, or team games, such as soccer and basketball. The hotel lacks a full spa, but the gym features a whirlpool and a sauna (for a fee). Wi-Fi is free throughout.
