The mid-range Ibiza Jet Apartments is a party-oriented beachfront apartment complex set in the middle of the buzzing Playa d’en Bossa nightlife hub. There are two swimming pools with regular beach parties and a poolside bar, plus the property is just a few minutes' walk from some of the area's most popular clubs. The 220 air-conditioned apartments are functional, featuring simple cooking facilities and balconies or terraces, some with pool and sea views. With nonstop partying, apartments are prone to nearly constant noise, so those seeking some relaxation should certainly look elsewhere. The Ebano Select Apartments provide quieter surrounds though still walkable from the clubbing zone.
Scene
Lively apartment complex with party-focus popular with young, rambunctious crowd
The Ibiza Jet Apartments has a bright and well-maintained reception area that feels more functional than particularly welcoming, with minimal metal tables and chairs for seating. But it's all about the outdoor space anyway, which include sun terraces crammed with lounge chairs and throbbing with dance music thanks to the regular pool parties that often spill out onto the sandy beach. It's without doubt one of the livelier, noisier, and more raucous hotels in the area appealing to a mostly under-30, up-for-it crowd; it's certainly not for families, or really anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing time.
Location
Beachfront setting in the heart of Ibiza's throbbing nightlife
The hotel is located in the center of Ibiza's renowned party scene and right on the long sandy beach of Playa d’en Bossa. The famous Bora Bora beach club is just next door, while the renowned Space dance club is just six minutes away on foot. Ushuaia and Hard Rock Hotel -- two other buzzing nightspots -- are also a short stroll, and there are no shortage of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The airport can be reached in about five minutes by car, and getting to Ibiza Town takes about 10 minutes.
Rooms
Functional apartments with simple cooking facilities and balconies/terraces
The complex has 220 air-conditioned apartments, each with one or two bedrooms accommodating up to three or four guests. Entry-level units are functional but dated, with wood-veneer floors, textured walls, patterned linens, and shabby-looking curtains. Upgraded apartments feel more modern, with extra bathrooms, better-quality furnishings, and full views of the sea and pool -- and the partying. All apartments include kitchenettes with mini-fridges, microwaves, and kettles (though can lack some simple cooking utensils), plus lounge areas with 32-inch flat-screen TVs.
Glass doors slide open to spacious terraces or balconies that get plenty of sun. Bathrooms are functional, with walk-in showers, wall-mounted hairdryers, and simple sachets of toiletries; typical of many hotels in the area, water from showers and taps have a salty taste that some find unpleasant. Lack of proper soundproofing means plenty of noise from partying guests, both inside the hotel and out.
Features
Regular pool parties, poolside bar, and several on-site eateries
The property is very much focused on its two outdoor swimming pools. One is round and lined with rows of lounge chairs and daybeds plus a poolside bar; it's generally the more raucous of the two, as it hosts regular DJ-led pool parties. The rectangular pool is a little less noisy and it's long enough for swimming laps. Note that there's a fee to use lounge chairs at the pool and the adjacent beach.
While the hotel doesn't have a restaurant of its own, it's in a complex with several places to eat including a 24-hour pizzeria, a sushi bar, and a late-night grill. Their main bar -- Tahiti & Tiare Beach Bar -- has almost constant dance music and cheap drinks; the complex also features an Irish pub and a disco bar. An on-site hair salon is available for pre-club preening. Wi-Fi is available for a fee, but reports from past guests suggest that it's not very reliable.
