Located just a 10-minute walk from Ibiza’s top nightlife spots, the budget Hotel Brisa is a basic but clean spot for party-minded travelers to crash, or to sunbathe the afternoon away by the pool, without breaking the bank. The 112 rooms are dated, and their bathrooms have seen better days, but they are a good size and have air-conditioning and private balconies. A decent continental buffet breakfast is offered, as are drinks and light meals at the pool bar throughout the day and into the night. Unfortunately rooms lack TVs and free Wi-Fi, and many past guests have complained of noise from nearby nightlife. Travelers looking for a self-catering option might want to try the nearby Apartamentos Poniente Playa.
Scene
Dated and basic value hotel that attracts a party-focused crowd
The Hotel Brisa is unlikely to win any awards for its decor, which is dated from top to bottom. Its lobby is furnished with gray quartz floors, heavily-veined marble panels, and somewhat-battered sofas upholstered in mismatched, '70s-style fabrics. Out back is the hotel’s pool, which is the focal point and set in a sunny terrace. An adjacent bar area has red plastic chairs sheltered by a patio awning. Much like many other similar hotels in San Antonio (Sant Antoni de Portmany), the Hotel Brisa caters to a crowd looking for somewhere to crash and recharge after drinking and dancing the night away, and who don't mind some late-night noise. Those looking for a tranquil retreat need to look elsewhere.
Location
Eight-minute walk from Calo el Moro beach and 10 from the Sunset Strip’s clubs
Only an eight-minute walk from the beach at Calo el Moro and 10 minute from the Sunset Strip’s famed (or perhaps infamous) lounge bars and clubs, the Hotel Brisa is ideally located for travelers looking to spend their days outside and nights among some of the world’s top DJs. The blocks surrounding the hotel are home to a number of restaurants and convenience stores. Expect transfers to Ibiza Airport to take 25 minutes by car, or 70 minutes by public transport.
Rooms
Bare-bones rooms that are clean and functional
Like the shared areas, rooms at Hotel Brisa are no-frills and dated, though they provide a clean, air-conditioned place to sleep. They have white walls with a couple small, old-fashioned artwork pieces, gray quartz floors, various colored linens, and basic wooden furniture. Rooms are outfitted with either two single beds or a double bed, a desk, and chair made out of dark wood, plus a round leather chair in some. There are a few Single Rooms that are tight on space, but the others are decently sized. Bathrooms have white tiles with a chintzy trim, shower/tub combos with plastic curtains, and toiletries, but no hairdryers. Most rooms have small terraces furnished with plastic tables and chairs. TVs are not provided, and use of both safes and Wi-Fi require fees. Also on the downside, many past guests have complained of late-night noise reaching rooms.
Features
Continental breakfast and pool bar serving snacks
In keeping with the rest of the hotel, the Hotel Brisa offers a limited list of amenities. A continental buffet breakfast is served for a fee, and the pool bar offers drinks and light meals throughout the day, which guests find average but a good value. There is a lounge with couches and a pool table, while to the rear of the hotel is a small lap pool set in a sunny terrace with ample loungers, as well as a seating area shaded by an awning. Free Wi-Fi is accessible in shared areas only.
