Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa

The Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza screams “all-inclusive mega-resort” in every possible way, with tons of on-site facilities for all ages, a full entertainment program, and several dining options. This is a large property set along a lovely sandy beach that’s shared with its sister resort, the Grand Palladium White Island Resort & Spa -- to which it is connected via a bridge -- and the vibe is lively and fun. Loungers are packed one next to the other around the hotel’s multiple pools, and there’s always lots of foot traffic in the outdoor areas.
The lobby has an ultra-high glass ceiling that lets in lots of light, and dark-gray accent walls that stand out against the cream-colored floor tiles. A long front desk decorated with wooden accents and a black granite countertop adds style, while white couches and several blue and white chairs make the space inviting. Outdoors, terra-cotta tile paths wind through beautifully manicured lawns dotted with palm trees and stylish round, white lamps. A dirt path leads to the beach, where the hotel offers loungers and umbrellas.
The wealth of kid-friendly amenities draws many families with children in tow, but the beachfront location, the spa, and proximity to nightlife seem to attract a good number of couples, who slightly outnumber families here. There’s also meeting space, but business travelers are a minority here, especially in the summer months.

The Grand Palladium Palace is a beachfront hotel that sits on a quiet stretch of Playa d’en Bossa, the largest beach in Ibiza. Most of the island’s top nightclubs -- including Space, Bora Bora, and Ushuaïa -- are within walking distance, but this part of town is much quieter than areas north of the property. There is not much in the immediate vicinity aside from the beach, but restaurants, bars, and shops can be found within easy walking distance. The town of Ibiza is a 10-minute drive away, as is Ibiza Airport. There's a bus stop right outside the main entrance, and service is frequent.

Starting at 32 square meters (345 square feet), rooms at the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza are spacious and airy. Off-white floor tiles and walls and floor-to-ceiling windows make rooms light and fresh, while pops of fuchsia and brown add a touch of color. The heavy wooden furniture is rather classic, though, making spaces a tad dated despite the bright palette and big color photos above some beds.
Room categories range from Double units to two-bedroom Master Suites. All come with flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, safes, and balconies. Views vary, but most rooms overlook either the pools or the gardens. Only a handful of units feature sea views. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, and minibars are replenished free of charge for guests who book the Infinite Indulgence package. Superior Rooms are a bit larger than standard Doubles, and Deluxe Jacuzzi units have terraces with hot tubs, fake grass, and wooden arbors. Junior Suites and Master Suites have separate living areas with sofa beds.
Beige-tile bathrooms include shower/tub combos with jetted tubs in Double units, and separate showers and whirlpool tubs in other categories. Hairdryers and a range of toiletries are provided in all room types.

The standard all-inclusive rate covers all local and international drinks, all meals at any of the hotel’s three buffet restaurants, and all snacks. There are also three a la carte restaurants -- Mexican, Italian, and Mediterranean -- where guests can dine for a fee, as well as a 24-hour sports bar and a lobby bar. The Infinite Indulgence package includes all buffet and a al carte meals, plus free minibars -- replenished daily.

The Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza has two outdoor pools, both surrounded by dozens of loungers and umbrellas. It’s a big hotel, and the pools do get busy. The square pool is large and appealing, with a wooden deck around it, a handful of Balinese beds, and a popular poolside bar that serves snacks and drinks. The oval pool is somewhat quieter and has a slightly smaller deck. Both, however, have kiddy pools. There is an additional splash area for children, complete with slides and water features.
Zentropia is the hotel’s sleek, serene spa. It features a hydrotherapy area, a beautiful indoor/outdoor pool with a whirlpool and underwater loungers, a sauna, and a steam room. The spa is open to the public, but guests receive a discount in the thermal area. The gym is spacious and well-equipped with a range of cardio and strength-training machines, and there is a separate spinning studio with several bikes and an outdoor training area. The hotel also has tennis and volleyball courts, plus archery facilities.
The kids’ club offers daily activities, and the teens' club is equipped with video games and movies. Other kid-friendly amenities include a playground, entertainment for children, and a mini-disco. The hotel also features six meeting rooms, an outdoor theater for evening shows, and free outdoor parking. Airport shuttle service is available for a fee.
