Scene

A quiet campground with a pool and a relaxing vibe

A short dirt path lined with small stones and plants leads to an unpaved parking lot opposite the campground. An automatic gate remains open during the day, and at night a security guard checks guestsʼ passports before letting anyone in. There is no lobby -- only a tiny white and blue building housing a small reception area with a desk, a bookshelf, and a plank of wood attached to the wall where keys to the bungalow are kept. A couple of separate buildings house the shared bathrooms, which have indoor and outdoor sinks and clean showers with hot and cold water. There are lots of trees in the camping area, which helps keep the heat at bay during the hottest months. The atmosphere here is generally quiet and relaxing, as many guests -- most of whom are families or couples -- are out during the day either exploring the island or at the beach.

Location

On the road connecting Sant Antoni and Ibiza Town, a short walk from the beach and the city center

The campground is located on a dirt path off the road connecting Sant Antoni and Ibiza Town. The lots around the property are empty for the most part, but there's a large, cheap supermarket just down the street, at the first traffic circle on the way to Sant Antoni, about an eight-minute walk away. Sant Antoni Bay is just down the road, and there are a couple of other beaches within walking distance or a short drive away. Popular clubs such as Eden and Es Paradis are within a five-minute walk, and the West End/Sunset Strip -- known for its famous nightlife spots such as Cafe del Mar and Mambos -- can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes. Ibiza Town and the airport are each a 20-minute drive away.

Rooms

Tent areas and two types of bungalows

Camping San Antonio offers three types of lodging: 32 lots for up to four tents each, 20 Small Bungalows with shared bathrooms, and 14 larger cabins with two or three twin beds, furnished balconies, and private bathrooms with showers. Bungalows and cabins have power sockets and lights. Small Bungalows are tiny and have bunk beds, but they're clean and have a fresh feel, with white walls, a few cute blue accents, and laminate floors. Larger units have similar decor plus ornamental fireplaces and small bathrooms featuring showers, toilets, and sinks. Rooms lack TVs and hairdryers, though bed linens and towels are provided. Note that cooking is not permitted on-site.

Features

Small pool with adjacent cafe/bar, coin-operated laundry, and free Wi-Fi throughout

San Antonio's pool deck is small but pleasant, with padded lounge chairs and several trees providing shade. Adjacent to the pool is the cafe and bar, which serves cheap homemade food in a casual space with outdoor seating, a pool table, and darts. Shared bathrooms are housed in several large white buildings and have hot and cold water, as well as power outlets and mirrors. The campground also offers a laundry facilities with coin-operated washers and dryers, a book exchange program, and free Wi-Fi throughout. There are no safes.
