The 110-room Aparthotel Rosamar is a mid-range property located in the quiet San Antonio Bay, a five-minute walk from Pinet beach. One of the hotel's main draws is its all-inclusive option, which covers decent meals and a good selection of drinks. The main downside is most of the hotel overlooks some indefinitely half-finished buildings. On-site entertainment is lively, though, and a large outdoor pool and indoor game room provide activities for families. Most of the rooms have cooking facilities and balconies, in addition to their dated decor. If the view is a deal-breaker, check rates at the Bellamar Hotel for uninterrupted sea vistas.
Scene
Relaxed, all-inclusive hotel draws younger groups and families
Built to accommodate a pair of palm trees, a concrete-columned portico marks the entrance to the Aparthotel Rosamar. Inside, the decor is mostly cheerful in sunny yellows and warm wood, though dated lobby features include striped armchairs clustered together, a vending machine, and a rack of postcards. The property is all-inclusive and has the usual hallmarks of a resort-style hotel, focused around the tiled pool terrace with numerous sun loungers, a barbecue area, and a small stage. While the vibe is friendly and relaxed, it's impossible not to notice the half-finished buildings next door, which due to bankruptcy, are unlikely to be completed any time soon. The hotel draws a mostly younger crowd, often groups of vacationing friends (often on bachelor parties), though it's also popular with families and couples.
Location
Quieter side of San Antonio Bay, a 10-minute drive from lively center
The hotel is located on the quieter side of the popular resort of San Antonio, well away from the center though a five-minute walk from the nearest beach -- Playa Pinet. There are a good variety of restaurants and pubs in the surrounding area, though the livelier parts of San Antonio, which include the party areas of West End and the Sunset Strip, are at least a 10-minute cab away. Alternatively, the nearest bus stop is a few minutes away on foot. Ibiza Town and its airport are both 20 minutes away by car.
Rooms
All rooms have terraces, though most with views of abandoned buildings
Aparthotel Rosamar has 110 rooms, 20 of which are Standard Rooms, with the rest split between Studio Apartments and Family Suites. Though dated, decor is bright and breezy with cheerful fabrics, terra-cotta tile floors, and simple wood furnishings. Standard amenities include free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, though there are no tea- and coffee-making facilities or minibars. Suites and studios, however, provide kitchenettes with mini-fridges, burners, and microwaves, plus small dining and lounge areas. All rooms open to balconies or terraces, though most have views blighted by the unfinished building work next door. Bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, featuring shower/tub combos and wall-mounted hairdryers. Packets of simple toiletries are placed on vanity counters.
Features
Above-par all-inclusive meals, plus enthusiastic entertainment and an outdoor pool
Features at Aparthotel Rosamar are limited but decent. While most guests opt for the all-inclusive meal option, those who don't still get the buffet breakfast included in the room rate. Guests report that meals covered by the all-inclusive plan are surprisingly good, and there's a decent choice of drinks available (though the hotel bars close relatively early). Entertainment is a big part of the experience -- the team is enthusiastic and the quality is high. The outdoor pool is sufficient and has a separate kids' section, though it's not particularly big and it overlooks the abandoned building site. There's also an indoor game room with pool table and video games, plus free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
