El Hotel Pacha
Calle Historiador Joan Mari Cardona 03

Part of the Pacha group of nightclubs, this chic upper-middle-range hotel attracts a party-loving crowd (guests get free entrance to the popular Pacha club across the street). Minimalist all-white interiors are stylish, but the all-white look is difficult to maintain and could use a refresh. The 56 suites are spacious and chic, also decked out in white shades, and come with private balconies and sitting areas. There's a lovely (but small) outdoor pool on-site, and the hotel also offers a restaurant and bar. Situated a block away from the marina and a 15-minute walk to Talamanca Beach, the hotel is a long walk to the center of town and its attractions, so it might not be an ideal choice for those wishing to explore on foot. For something in the heart of the Old Town, check out La Torre del Canonigo, an upscale boutique property set in a 14th-century stone tower.

Hotel Ibiza Playa
Calle Tarragona s/n

The Hotel Ibiza Playa is a run-of-the mill budget property that looks out over Figuretas Beach and its seafront promenade. While the neighborhood is relatively quiet, there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance, and nightlife is a short drive away. The 157 rooms are functional and clean, with many featuring lovely sea views, though amenities are in short supply and rear-facing views are drab. Having to share a small pool with a neighboring apartment complex also isn't ideal, though the sea is close by. Overall it's a pleasant, if unmemorable, place to crash on Ibiza. Travelers may also want to consider the Sirenis Hotel Goleta & Spa, which offers more modern rooms and better facilities (though it can get a bit noisier).

Apartamentos Llobet
Alejandro Llobet, 6-8, Figueretas Beach

Apartamentos Llobet is a family-run property with small and contemporary self-catering units, an outdoor swimming pool, and a casual restaurant open to the public. This mid-range spot scores points for its beachfront location between Ibiza Town and Playa D'en Bossa, as well as its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The 40 rooms were once apartments, and they feature kitchenettes with small microwaves, large mini-fridges, electric hobs, and either sea or garden views. This is a great place to feel like a local, while being within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants, and the seafront. Expect free Wi-Fi and buffet breakfasts, a bright and contemporary gym, quiet rooftop solarium, and pet-friendly features like beds and bowls. This hotel closes from January to mid-March. For a less family-friendly option in the party-heavy heart of Playa D'en Bossa, check out Bora Bora Apartments.

THB Los Molinos
Calle Ramon Muntaner 60

THB Los Molinos is an adult-only upscale hotel with a seafront location a 15-minute walk from Ibiza's Old Town. Its 168 rooms feature clean, simple decor and are equipped with flat-screen TVs, minibars, and free Wi-Fi, plus most have balconies with spectacular sea views. Pathways in the hotel's well-manicured and palm tree-studded gardens lead to a terrace with two outdoor pools, canopy beds, loungers, and a pool bar. The hotel also has a lobby bar and a restaurant, which offers a free and comprehensive breakfast buffet -- but dinners get mixed reviews. Other on-site features include a wellness area with an indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, and limited fitness room. This is a relaxing spot that attracts mostly couples seeking a sun-filled getaway, but guests looking for more of a party atmosphere might want to consider the storied Hotel Es Vive.

Hotel MiM Ibiza Es Vivé
Calle Carles Roman Ferrer 8, Playa d'en Bossa

Housed in an iconic and charming Art Deco building, the 52-room Hotel Es Vive is a chic, upscale, party property in a quiet area a block from a sandy beach in Ibiza Town. Poolside DJ sessions, a top-notch restaurant, a famous nightclub, and a gorgeous all-white rooftop lounge with panoramic sea views make this one of the most sought-after hotels in Ibiza. Though many rooms are on the small side, decor is stylish, and amenities are up to date, including flat-screen TVs, minibars, free Wi-Fi, and air-conditioning; some have balconies with gorgeous views. All this style and cool atmosphere doesn’t come cheap, but the vast majority of guests agree that the experience is worth every dollar. For a quieter atmosphere, travelers could try the Finca Can Xuxu.

Ryans Ibiza Apartments
Calle Carles Roman Ferrer 24, Figueretas, Es Viver

The Ryans Ibiza Apartments is a mid-range, adult-only party hotel geared toward young travelers. The heart of the hotel is an indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar that opens up onto a terrace with a pool surrounded by loungers and umbrellas. The hotel has events -- like live DJs -- day and night. There's also a roof terrace with loungers and a hot tub. Its 77 one- to three-bedroom apartments are roomy and feature pleasant, contemporary decor with bright accents, pullout sofas, fully equipped kitchenettes, and free Wi-Fi, though daily housekeeping costs an extra fee. Travelers who want to be closer to nightlife in Playa d’en Bossa might want to consider the Santos Ibiza Coast Suites.

La Torre del Canonigo
Calle Major 8

La Torre del Canonigo is an eight-room, upscale boutique hotel situated in a 14th-century stone tower in Ibiza's Old Town. Classy yet rustic Mediterranean rooms offer modern amenities like minibars, Bose sound systems, and Smart TVs. The hotel has a bar and a Japanese fusion restaurant serving dinner, and it also offers a tasty a la carte breakfast (for a fee). Other features include a lovely roof terrace and an outdoor pool with exceptional city views. This charming spot within Old Town can be difficult to access, however, and the historic hotel has no elevator. Travelers might also consider the Hotel Mirador de Dalt Vila, a nearby boutique property with more romantic decor, but less rustic charm.

El Puerto Ibiza Hotel Spa
Calle de Carles III Nº 24

This two-pearl property is a good party pick for folks looking for a bargain bed to lay their heads. El Puerto's got a great location just a block from Ibiza port and within walking distance to Dalt Vila and all the Old Town has to offer. Of the 93 rooms and apartments, the revamped Premium Rooms are the best bet thanks to their fresh and contemporary look, while El Puerto's Standard Rooms and Apartments are visibly worn, dated, and tired. Be aware of separately fitted single beds pushed together (even in triples) and thin walls. Features include free breakfast buffets, a cafe and bar, outdoor pool and whirlpool, outdoor gym, and free but spotty Wi-Fi. For anyone not requiring an on-site pool, it's worth checking rooms and rates at the nearby three-pearl Hostal Juanita.

Hotel Mirador de Dalt Vila
Plaza Espanya 4, Dalt Vila

Hotel Mirador de Dalt Vila, a 1904 town house built within the old walled quarter of Dalt Via, is one of the most luxuriously romantic boutique properties in Ibiza. The 12 beautifully decorated rooms spare no attention to detail, incorporating seven types of marble in keeping with the style of the original building, while adding free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and hydromassage tubs in the marble bathrooms. There's a small outdoor swimming pool, and services include free round-trip airport transfers, a private yacht for day trips, and a butler who'll unpack your bags. While the hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and art galleries, be aware that the nearest beach is a 10-minute drive away.
