Bottom Line

Opened in 2012, G Hua Hin Resort & Mall is a
modern boutique resort in central Hua Hin that's a five-minute walk from the beach. While not as luxurious as the nearby InterContinental, it
has an attractive design and stylish feel. The highlight amenity is its huge
outdoor swimming pool, which is good for a lap swim, though it can get crowded and noisy. The hotel also offers
a poolside bar, Thai and international restaurant, on-site shopping mall, and
79 minimalist rooms with big flat-screen TVs and balconies or terraces. It's distance from the beach is a con for some, but prices are a little lower than at resorts of
similar quality.

Scene

Modern boutique resort with a mall attached

G Hua Hin Resort & Mall is housed in a six-story building
with cutting-edge design. The resort has a very modern, urban aesthetic inside and out -- its distinctive exterior, with staggered sheets of rusted metal slats set it apart from so many properties in Hua Hin. The lobby opens to the outdoors, creating an airy and bright atmosphere.
The contemporary space features high ceilings, cylindrical hanging lights,
sofas and tables, red beanbag chairs, and white walls with a
rust-colored wall at one end. Some of the hallways overlook a six-story atrium. A tree-lined courtyard contains an attractive swimming pool with sunken lounge chairs and a narrow, stone terrace. Guests can swim and then gather on the deck that's lined with palm trees, lounge
chairs, and umbrellas. It can get crowded and noisy, though, depending on the number of tour groups and kids staying at the resort. The attached mall, which has all manner of designer and local goods, is a bonus for shoppers. Tourist couples and families who want modern resort service and style, but don't mind a five-minute walk from the beach, make up the bulk of the guests here.

Location

Central Hua Hin, a five-minute walk from the beach

buildings, is a little over a five-minute drive north and the Hua Hin Night
Market, which has tons of street food and merchandise stalls, is a 10-minute
drive north of the resort. There is a free evening shuttle to the
night market and tuk-tuks are also available to
get around the city. The G Hua Hin is a 10-minute drive north of
the Cicada Weekend Market with rows of art and handmade crafts plus a beer garden and live

Nava Hua Hin Water Park is a seven-minute drive south and Klai Kangwon Palace
and the Panee Butterfly Garden are a little less than a 10-minute drive north. G Hua Hin Resort & Mall is a three-hour drive southwest of
