Articles Mentioning Budget

Playa Moreia Apartments

The lower-middle-range Playa Moreia Apartments offers value accommodation, right on Cala Moreia’s white-sand beach. Functional layouts reflect the budget price tag, although amenities are sufficient. They include loungers around a sunny outdoor pool, indoor games, and buffet dining, but fees apply for nearly everything, and no all-inclusive packages are available. All renovated in 2016, 113 Studios and Apartments have colorful decor, kitchenettes, and balconies, but only some are air-conditioned and not all of the floors and bathrooms were updated. Penny-pinching British and European couples and families form the bulk of guests here, and they find the nearby selection of eateries good. Attractive, all-inclusive deals at the Playa Blanca Hotel are also worth considering.

Baymont by Wyndham Denver International Airport

The Baymont Inn & Suites Denver International Airport offers attractive rates and modern facilities, situated among a cluster of similar limited-service hotels near the airport. The two-and-a-half-pearl property opened in 2010, and features an indoor pool and fitness center, and ample freebies including a hot buffet breakfast, 24-hour round-trip airport shuttle, and Wi-Fi throughout. Its 128 guest rooms are spacious and pleasant with contemporary decor and colorful accents, and all have flat-screen TVs and coffeemakers, but unlike most other hotels in the area, microwaves and mini-fridges don’t come as standard. The nearby Ramada Denver International Airport has comparable rates, free breakfast, and spacious guest rooms equipped with sleeper sofas, microwaves, mini-fridges, and surprisingly attractive marble bathrooms.

City Circus Athens

Hip interiors match the hip Psirri location at the budget-friendly City Circus Athens, where upbeat decor and cleanliness make it one of Europe’s best-rated hostels. Near Monastiraki and the metro, it’s well-placed amid bars, restaurants, and cafes, and the Acropolis is walkable. The 19 brightly colored rooms come in dorm or private setups, and though basic, all have AC, free Wi-Fi, and shared or en-suite bathrooms. Circus themes here mean plenty of eccentricity and color, and good features include a rooftop terrace, great chill-out spaces, and a restaurant serving breakfast. For lower rates, check out the AthenStyle Hostel, which still offers rooftop action, but less impressive design and cleanliness.

Villas Miramar

Located in Zihuatanejo’s historic district, the two-and-a-half-pearl Villas Miramar is situated right along Playa La Madera. The property is split by a small road, so only part of it is actually beachside, but it’s one of the few area hotels with palapas for guests right on the sand. A casual poolside restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, and there’s a a beachfront bar slinging drinks throughout the day. All 18 rooms are spacious and simple, featuring mini-fridges, TVs, and balconies. A few even have ocean views, but older amenities like tube TVs and dated style are disappointing. All in all, this is a quiet, simple place to crash near the sane. Alternatively, the nearby Hotel Villa Mexicana has more amenities and nicer rooms, with price tags that are consistently similar.
