The Ellis Island Hotel Super 8 is a budget motel property that offers a surprising amount of features, from an on-site casino and several dining options to a microbrewery. Interiors are ho-hum, but they’re clean, and  301 rooms come equipped with a decent set of amenities, including flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. Free 32-ounce growlers that come with a fill of beer are a nice touch. The hotel has a barbecue restaurant that gets good reviews, as well as a taco stand, pizza place, and a 24-hour cafe. There are an outdoor pool and hot tub as well. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the strip though, and there’s a daily resort fee.
