There are 90 rooms at The Fragrance Hotel, a two-pearl budget property on the outskirts of the city in the Joo Chiat district. With a style renovation done in 2016 that’s more modern and fresh than competing budget properties, it attracts families and couples who don’t mind taking taxis or public transportation to the popular areas of the city. The rooms here have flat-screen TVs and kettles, and all but the Standard Twin Rooms offer mini-fridges; some rooms don’t have windows. A lobby, free Wi-Fi, free parking, and laundry are the only amenities available here. Hotel 81 Dickson doesn’t have many amenities either, but it’s a good alternative property to consider with a Little India location, making it much closer to main attractions.
