Lovers Point Inn

A modest budget hotel situated right across the street from Lovers Point, this property’s biggest draw is its location. The Lovers Point Beach is just two minutes away, as are gorgeous coastal trails, while busy Lighthouse Avenue, lined with restaurants and shops, is a couple of blocks away. Rooms are simple and a bit dated — the tiny bathrooms could use refurbishment — but they’re clean and offer a solid set of amenities, including flat-screen TVs, microwaves, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges. The inn lacks any facilities, but does offer a handful of freebies like breakfast, Wi-Fi, and on-site parking. Travelers seeking more features who don’t mind spending a bit more might want to check out the mid-range Lighthouse Lodge & Cottages, which has a pool and hot tub.

MainStay Suites

The two-and-a-half-pearl MainStay Suites is a clean, family-friendly hotel with 129 apartment-like suites with kitchenettes and lots of space. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools and lazy river are a big selling point here. Other good amenities like free hot breakfast, a small gym, laundry room, and large convention center are nice too. The hotel is a bit removed from the main strip of Pigeon Forge, which might be a pro for those who want a little more peace and quiet. For something right in the middle of the action, consider the Comfort Inn & Suites Dollywood Lane, a similar hotel with the added perk of a hot tub.
