The Delos Reyes Palms Springs is a former budget hotel that’s making major renovations and reforms to attract a hip clientele. As of our visit in 2019, most of the 65 rooms were renovated to feature laminate floors and contemporary furnishings, but for travelers who want a deal — there are still un-renovated rooms available. Rooms are centered around an outdoor pool and whirlpool. Apart from free parking and coffee and a gift shop in the lobby, there are no other features here. Some parts still look dated, but hanging chairs and succulents in the lobby look fresh. The immediate neighborhood has pretty mountain views and is a five-minute drive to downtown Palm Springs. For something completely renovated and with more of a hip scene, rates are similar at Infusion Beach Club Hotel.
