Scene
Modern hotel housed in a historical building
Housed in a historical building originally built in 1920, GDM Megaron Hotel doesn't quite live up to it's self-proclaimed luxury status, but it's still one of the nicest hotels in the city. While the building is old, the interiors are fresh and modern with the only historical elements found in glass cabinets in the lobby. Decor throughout the hotel is understated, featuring elegant lighting and mostly neutral tones, with the occasional pop of color in a sofa or feature wall. The rooftop is a highlight here, with the narrow swimming pool, surrounding sun loungers and parasols, and rooftop bar all offering views of the Old Harbor. While the main restaurant doesn't have as great of views, it still overlooks the harbor and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Decor in the restaurant and bar is fresh and modern, with a relaxing atmosphere. Guests here are mostly leisure travelers, though the central location and available business facilities also attract a few business travelers.
