Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel & Spa

Housed in a tall narrow building with a white facade Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel & Spa is a peaceful haven amidst a busy Hanoi street lined with rustic buildings. Guests are welcomed into the double-volume lobby with shiny tiled floors and walls, elegant dark blue suede sofas, a dark wooden reception desk, and traditional artwork on the walls. The blue mood lighting and freshly cut flowers add more life and color into the room. The restaurant has an elegantly classic look with textured wallpapered walls with framed black-and-white photos, mosaic vinyl floors (in a section of the restaurant), dark wooden tables, and high-back cushioned green and blue velvet chairs. Overall, the atmosphere feels upmarket though still relaxed. Guests are a combination of business and leisure travelers.

Sitting on a side street just two blocks from the banks of the Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel & Spa is ideally located for those who want to enjoy Hanoi's most scenic spots. The Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre on the banks of the Hoan Kiem Lake is a three-minute walk away. There are a handful of restaurants, bars, and shops within the immediate vicinity and Hanoi's night market is a seven-minute walk from the hotel. The banks of the Red River can be reached within a seven-minute walk and the atmospheric Old Quarter is a nine-minute walk from the hotel. It's a 13-minute taxi ride to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and 16-minute drive to the Temple of Literature. For those who prefer public transportation, expect a three-minute walk to the nearest bus station and the main railway station is a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Noi Bai International Airport is about 40 minutes by car.

The 50 guest rooms at Hanoi Emerald Waters Hotel & Spa are modern and decorated with elegant interiors. As with the rest of the hotel, the dominant color in the decor is blue. The color is found in the curtains, headboards, work desk chairs, and sofas. The rest of the decor includes wooden floors, lightly-colored walls, flower-themed artwork, dark furniture, and white linens. Towels are folded into hearts and sprinkled with flower petals on the beds upon arrival. Family Rooms, sleeping three adults, and Connecting Rooms, sleeping four adults, are available for family travelers. Only selected rooms have city views, while the others have internal windows. Suites upgrade to private balconies. Amenities in all rooms include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, tea- and- coffee-making facilities, work desks, telephones, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms feature walk-in showers, magnifying mirrors, scales, hairdryers, and basic toiletries. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. Those celebrating special occasions are often treated to fruit platters and cake.
